Hello everyone,
I've been somewhat of a 'lurker' the past few days just reading some posts and I've found alot of fantastic advice and words of wisdom which have been very encouraging. So I thought I'de finally join!
I live in Manitoba Canada and have been a Christian since I was 8 actually, my Grandma who has since passed really instilled in me a lot of Christian ways and took me to church etc. and helped me become a better person. When she died and I was about 12ish or so I basically dropped all my beliefs etc. and went into a state of mental and physical depression. I was sick all the time, I had such depressing thoughts and so forth It got out of control. After a move into a new house away from where she used to live and going to a new school, meeting new people etc. I really became a new person. We started going to Church again on a regular basis and now I can proudly say I have renewed my faith and am working daily on making it better.
I live with my Mom (who is also a Christian) and her.. well ex fiancee I guess. Me and him have never gotton along and it's always caused rifts with me and my mom. Recently after she started talking some religous courses and being around the right people she realized her wrong in this relationship and is trying to fix that. They arn't really together anymore since we decided we were going to move out finally (were in that process now) and he has done alot of awful things to her (cheating etc.) and once told her god would strike her down for her evil ways... (his perception of things is pretty distorted at times) But anyways enough about that.
I'm some of what of a 'computer-geek' in the fact I know alot about them (website making, common problems etc) and I really enjoy them. I type over 100 words per minute and am semi interested in a computer profession when I start fully working. I'm in my first year at the high school here and it's been challenging but since I started looking to God more it's been getting easier.
Well that was a long introduction lol I practically wrote Chapter one of my biography, but yeah I'm hoping to make some new pals and get some good advice here. Thanks for reading and God Bless : )
