IMHO, everyone has a right to defend themselves, and self-defense is a valid argument in a court room. A Christian carrying a firearm should pray though, that they are never put into a position of having to defend themselves, and the Christian carrying should be careful to not instigate anything that might lead up to an undesired event. Christian or non, a person carrying should know thyself, know their mentality and temperament considering what they may be capable of. Even though self-defense is a valid argument in a court room, I suspect many attempts at self-defense argument in a court room have failed, whether it be because of false testimonies, or maybe the evidence does not demonstrate strong support of self-defense, or something more sinister. It's an interesting subject I think, living in days where there is debate over teachers right to carry because of the frequency of school shootings. Unfortunately there is little reasoning with the insanity of blind rage.

I believe it to be our God given right plain and simple.
Along with religion I believe the government should have no authority in such matters.

Many people on the forums are safely tucked into their homes while sipping tea and that saying people shouldn't be allowed firearms, However in the "real world" A meth head with a butter knife that is spaced out, Can certainly kill you very quickly, They are very hard to fight as they are crazy and feeling no pain. They are like spaced out Zombies only with great speed.
So the best way to beat the threat is too stop the threat.

Yeah then there are those who are going to say "that poor meth head", "He just didn't stand a chance against that guy with handgun"!!!
Well I say the meth addict should have thought about these things before he got a nose full of "high speed chicken feed" and made the attack against someone smart enough to carry something to defend themselves.
The problem is they don't think because They Can't!! They are doped up, This doesn't make them disabled, This makes them stupid and dangerous.
As for me and my house, WE ARMED

I agree brother, and people like me with health issues are not really able to fight back with fists, and why would I want to use fists anyway if I thought my family's safety might also be in jeopardy? Meth heads are dangerous, I spent a couple of years in my younger days in that crowd, in that environment, rationality does not prevail with them, all that matters is the next fix.

Videos were just too long and I don't have time to check them out. I don't own a firearm and don't allow them them in my home. That being the case, I still have no problem with people owning them and carrying them for the right reasons, though the reasons are vastly over blown.

I have lived in some very dangerous situations in my life time but still refused to carry a gun. A very small percentage of people in the US will ever be in a situation where they have to defend themselves or others with a gun. Don't let fear drive you because it makes you stupid.

Regardless if you carry or don't, let the Spirit of God be your guide. What lives within Christians will keep you far safer than any weapon.

A cop friend of mine in the UK told me about a time it took 8 cops to restrain a violent MMA fighter who was completely off his face on something. They even tasered him, to no effect because he was so high. Because he was armed with a knife and trying to hurt not just them but random members of the public he was quite lucky there were enough cops there, otherwise he would have probably been shot. People have no idea how dangerous these people are.

I’d never want to hurt someone while defending myself or my family (and here it wouldn’t be with a gun because I don’t have one). But I’m realistic enough to think asking nicely doesn’t always work.
