Who says that?Anytime another Christian tries to claim it is not exclusionary to post the ten commandments I shall refer them here.
Oh, dear!Apparently sane people who would like to actually put the TC on the courthouse lawn, unlike you, who blatantly violates the separation of church and state.
More like we're a Christian nation.We're a secular state,
More like we're a Christian nation.
Dominionist much?
Wow.
Just wow.
That is one sad train of thought.
We're "intruders" are we?
That's sad ... that's really very sad.
You are confusing evolution and cosmology. When we talk of evolution, we normally mean biological evolution - the fact that living forms change over time, and the explanation as to why and how they do. Most Christians the world over believe in God and accept the reality of evolution.
More like we're a Christian nation.
Although most people believe the words "separation of church and state" are actually in the U.S. Constitution, the words cannot be found there. Rather, they are words penned by Thomas Jefferson in a letter which explains the First Amendment of the Constitution or at least Jefferson’s view of it. The actual words in the First Amendment of the Constitution read as follows: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. . . ."
“Wall of separation between church and state”—History of phrase
In the fall of 1801, the Danbury (Conn.) Baptist Association sent Jefferson a written address congratulating him on his election. In his reply on January 1, 1802, Jefferson penned these now famous words:
“. . .I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.”Separation of Church and State in the Constitution
'All these laws stating we can not pray, nor mention Jesus nor display the TC are a clear violation of the Constitution for they prohibit the "free exercise" of our religion.
The separation is not that there is to be no religion, but that religion will not be impeded!!
So you would agree that it would be ok to teach that God created life using evolution?

Just to humor you, would you oppose anyone who wants us to be?As long as Christianity is not your official state religion, no, you're not a Christian nation.

Well ... to humor you further ... we'll just pretend we are and let the pro-Muslims ook & eek about the Ten Commandments on our courthouse lawns.Anyone who wants you to be can do zilch to make it so.
You're entitled to your own opinions, but not to your own facts.
