Correct.

We also have cause-and-effect evidence for the existence of God:
  1. The Bible
  2. Time divided into BC and AD.
  3. Organizations such as the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
  4. Hospitals built by Christian organizations.
  5. Beautiful Christian artwork, edifices, statuary and literature.
  6. IN GOD WE TRUST on our coins and UNDER GOD in our pledge of allegiance.
  7. The Ten Commandments and other literature displayed in public.
  8. Christmas & Easter
  9. Symbols on bumper stickers and flags.
  10. Public debates in the name of Christianity.
  11. Crosses and billboards erected to testify of Jesus Christ.
  12. Two major nations founded on His existence.
The existence of God was not the issue that I was responding to.

That's not evidence of Creationism or God though, just evidence that Christianity exists.

Footprint in the sand.

Evidence of a foot? or evidence of a belief in feet?

Your list is still just evidence of Christianity existing. That's it.

Small problem…

Your prints are made by humans

Thanks for the QED.

A church is just as much evidence for God, as a footprint in the sand is evidence for a foot.

After all, which came first? the foot, or the footprint?

I would counter that the evidence against the existence of God is even greater, and is manifested in the irrationality of many Christians.

This is illustrated by the fact that the more ardently they believe the more irrational they seem to become.

Hence the oddest conclusion of all, that faith, rather than being "the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen." is exactly the opposite.

But fortunately there's a caveat here, because what some people call faith may be nothing more than vanity and pride cloaked in the facade of faith, while true faith may be far less boisterous and self-absorbed.

Hence when interacting with most fervent Christians I can't help but envision clanging gongs. A lot of noise, but neither informative nor pleasant to listen to.

But every once in a while I'll encounter a person of faith, and as if by magic my wariness will ease a bit... for perhaps among all the thorns and thistles there are still a few Christians.

Luke 2:20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

In other words, if they keep their mouths shut, and not defend their faith like they're supposed to, you just might believe them?

No Christ = no Christianity.

No, very true. But that's still just saying that there were and are people who believed in Christ as the Messiah. Nothing in that list says that he WAS the Messiah nor that God exists. Your list is unfortunately a good example of correlation does not equal causation.

Um ...

Here's the list again:

The Bible
Time divided into BC and AD.
Organizations such as the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
Hospitals built by Christian organizations.
Beautiful Christian artwork, edifices, statuary and literature.
IN GOD WE TRUST on our coins and UNDER GOD in our pledge of allegiance.
The Ten Commandments and other literature displayed in public.
Christmas & Easter
Symbols on bumper stickers and flags.
Public debates in the name of Christianity.
Crosses and billboards erected to testify of Jesus Christ.
Two major nations founded on His existence.

Does anything stand out?

Not really. I see you highlighted the name for a book, which is the claim and not the evidence of God existing.

You think every religion is true in other words.

God is responsible for Christianity.

Most other religions were started by fallen angels or possessed humans.

According to your logic.

Mormonism exists because Joseph Smith was visited by a fallen angel.

Thursday, a day of the week, honors Thor, a fallen angel.

Planets were named after fallen angels.

Get the picture?
