just came from the apple store

was on a new top of the line G5.... 30" monitor, isight.. the works.

what a sweet machine. I want one!

the store was packed... a line formed outside waiting for them to open...

started at $2000, went up from there depending on configuration... thats for the tower only.... the 30" monitor was like $3000 I think?

I liked the 20" imac G5... that was about $1700...

To think I paid the $150 for an isight and now it comes standard, om all the new imacs.

That isn't too bad. I've heard of tricked out G5 towers with Apple Cinema Displays costing $10K+

A good friend of mine who is the music pastor at my old church just got the new G5. his was about $3600 shipped to his door.
It has to be the sweetest machine I have ever seen. He's huge into music production so it serves the need nicely. I wish Windows had a comparible program to GarageBand.
If I could afford it I'd get a Mac in heartbeat.

I went to an Apple store a couple of days ago, and was really impressed (by the store, I'm still not much of an Apple fan). The store was really well laid out, and the staff was really friendly and knowledgable. As much as I don't like a lot of their products, Apple is a really great company.

Yeah the stores are laid out awesome and they are very user friendly. There are a lot of other PC vendors that should take note. I really believe that if the prices were a little more budget friendly, they would have a definite competition with companies like HP and Dell.
