Will you be watching the Super Bowl? If so, are you watching for the game or the commercials?

Our church is having a chili cook-off during the superbowl, which I will be attending...I must admit the game would have interested me more if the Colts would have been playing:cry: The commercials are usually pretty clever, and are perhaps more interesting than the game sometimes...Bless you!

I've followed the Colts ever since that nice Peyton Manning finished his career as a Tennessee Volunteer. The past two years I've followed the Steelers a bit more closely since Ben Roethlisberger is from my hometown (as opposed to the Steelers being a rival of the Browns & Bengals). The playoff game between the two teams was very difficult - I wanted them both to win. Obviously, I didn't get my way:sigh:

I see from your profile you're from NE Indiana. . . . NW Ohio here. If your family (BTW - really cute kids) happens to be in the greater Toledo area for a weekend, my church always welcomes visitors.

Thank you so much edie. I would consider it a great priveledge to visit your church sometime..Likewise if you and hubby are in this area you would be very welcome to visit our church as well...God bless you for the kind words also ..My kids get their cuteness mostly from their mother;) :D Our life is a little rough right now since my wife is usually working on my days off, and on her days off I'm working! We save some money on babysitters that way.. I used to get up around your neck of the woods every year when the walleye move up into the rivers to spawn. My brother and I go to Waterville every year to fish!

Yes it would have been nice for Peyton Manning if the Colts could have made it to the Superbowl. (I'm not sure what his plans are) It's kinda looking like a Steeler win 4th qtr. with 3 seconds to go... May God bless you and yours edie

The Lord has been good to me far beyond what I deserve. He has blessed me with a loving wife and three great kids; a good job; a nice home; several good friends. I could go on and on listing different ways I've been blessed... In that respect there really is nothing missing in my life... :D

One thing I do feel is lacking is the courage to be a better witness for Christ.. especially in the workplace. It's tough at times ( work in a large factory) to always reflect his love! When you walk into the breakroom it's hard telling what you are going to hear people talking about or doing... Sometimes I feel misunderstood because I avoid alot of it, and people assume I,m just not sociable since I don't sit with them...I guess it's a struggle for me to show people that I care for them although their behavior may be somewhat offensive.:o

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Now, what do you want to be when you grow up?

When I was a kid I thought it would be cool to be a lawyer...Remember the show Matlock?:D

nowadays I just try to be a good Dad and husband..In addition I would hope to be everything the Lord had planned for me to be.

Since you're here I know you spend time on the internet. Do you buy or sell on e-bay?

edie

Before sept. 2005 I never had any interest in the internet.. When my oldest son Dustin went away to college, I decided to get an email adress as a way of keeping in touch with him.. We still didn't have a computer at the house at that time I just went to our local library...My Father in law gave us the computer we have now and we finally signed up for the internet just after Christmas...I have never been on very many sites (Not ebay as of yet) Most of my time is on CF, and I also visit blueletterbible.org ( found out about that here too) Maybe after a while I may attempt ebay, but the thought of it seems a little intimidating given my lack of computer saavy.^_^ Afraid I may do something stupid and buy a bridge or something:doh:

Hi JWA:yum: Were you raised in a Christian home or did you come to the Lord later in life?

My Grandmother had a real strong committment to the Lord, and was the model for me as far as what a Christian walk was supposed to look like.. Although my Mom and Dad took us to church when I was little, we kind of dropped out of church...

It was later on in life that I came to know Jesus. Even then I didn't have a real strong relationship with him. I can relate to the prodigal son big time..At least now I can say that I am actively seeking the Lord and his will for my life...

What do you do for a living?

I work in a tire manufacturing plant. I run a machine that performs dot tests . I load the tires on one end of a long conveyor and remove them after they've been tested. Doesn't sound that exciting I know , but it is a pretty good job and I am blessed to have it..;)

I'm not the one that asked the question - but I have to say, I have great appreciation for your job. I grew up in Findlay, Ohio - home of Cooper Tire. I had lots of friends whose parents worked for Cooper - I always got the impression that they were good jobs with good benefits.

Sounds like hard work. I bet you have no trouble sleeping at night.

What is your favorite flower?

I like all kinds of flowers ,but my favorites are wildflowers. Dutchmans breeches is one that is really unique. There are a bunch of wild geraniums that are really colorful too! One thing I like to do in early may is go looking for edible mushrooms and even when I don't find any my boys and I bring a big bouquet of wildflowers! :D thank you for asking friend;)
