I'm slacking a bit - no questions from me for a couple of weeks. I've been trying to come up with a really good question that makes you think. Hopefully, this is it. . . .

Looking ahead - what's something new and different you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?

When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

One of the things I used to dream about was being a hero of some sort. I can remember taking off running and then I'd just jump and begin to fly. Sometimes I would help restore a situation for someone, perhaps by overcoming a group of foes with karate or something. I hope you won't think this is too weird but, you asked^_^

Great question edie! A couple of things come to mind. One is to be in a position financially to take a trip to Israel. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. In a way I kinda feel as though I'm being drawn there. Another is to have a better understanding of what God has for me ( his will and purpose for my life, not what I think it is or what somebody else tries to tell me what it is) Hope that made sense..Bless you:hug:

What is it about Romans 8 that speaks to you?
God bless you for asking this mesue! Ijust love this chapter and find it to be super edification and highly instructional. To me it is instructional in the sense that in the early part of the chapter vs 1-14 speak of the issue between the spirit and the flesh ( between life and death) That is central to the whole issue of being a christian. Pursuing the things of God's spirit and life rather than looking after the things (carnality) the world is trying to push at us. The predistiny issue in vs 29 and 30 has been a stumbling block for some , but to me it just states the sovereignty of God. Romans 8:31 -39 states very powerful truths that once you grasp hold of them it renders the devil and his forces of darkness powerless!! This is just one of those chapters that really boosts my Faith!!

Haven't posted in this thread for a while, but. . . .

Summer is fast approaching - do you have special plans for this summer?

edie

Hi edie:wave: Where have you been hiding?:sorry: just kidding:p
Well this summer I hope to get my boat in the water( only managed to do that once last year), to do some fishing. Also I hope to spend some time at Mom and Dads' lake cottage and swim-tube and just relax... etcAlso contemplating a Family summer church camp trip. The boys have been wanting to go back to Great Wolf Lodge near Cedar pt. so if we make that trip maybe we could come and visit edie and see those cute grandkids of hers!

We've had some pretty wet weather. I know the stream that runs through my neighborhood has been quite high - from what I understand the lake level is supposed to be higher than it has been for a few years.

Did you get over for the walleye run?

If you stop in Toledo, you'd be more than welcome to visit:thumbsup:

You have been given the chance to cure 1,000 people of a particular disease – Which disease will it be?

What in your opinion is a “brave act” and what is the difference between a brave and a foolish act?

I'd rather just let the Lord heal the 1000 of whatever disease they may have, but I know that isn't really what you've asked so i'll say cancer.

A brave act imo would be doing something you know should be done even though it may not be popular or even thought to be possible. An example of this would be David facing Goliath.

A foolish act imo is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. An example of this would be the pharoh of Egypt and the way he repeatedly tried to defy God.

Thank you for the questions and i'm sorry it took so long for me to answer them. Please forgive me.

God bless!!

Hi Edie! No I never did make it over for the walleye run this past spring ): A bunch of us guys from work ( 15 of us ) went on a charter boat out of Port Clinton in early June and we caught our limit. We had a great time. We took the afternoon block from 3-9 pm and went out about 15 miles. when we got back we took our fish to one of those places they clean em for ya it was great but we didn't end up leaving till after midnight.

Thanks for the invite, and i hope to be able to make it sometime !
