• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello all.I saw an ad on TBN TV to help christain international .com childrens charity.i wanted to spocnser a child so used this oppurtunity to do so.it will be 22 dollars a month.im in uk so i pay sterling.so i sent of deatils etc.tehy have taken ist payment an soon send me details of my sponser etc.however no where in the info ionline does it say what happens should something unforseen happen an i cant keep up the payments.the dollar at the mo is ok an i can just afford it.however im on state benefits myself.i want to spniser this kid for the duration,but am worried that im bound for life no matter what.ive tried phoinuing an emails but am getting no response.im not sute what to do.i want my monety to go to the child.they are a top charity apparently.its just im getting no contact.thsy have all my bank details,.should i be concerned,am are you bound to these things.thanks guys.they child if its all ok is called Nohah,14,orphan from Zambia.:thumbsup:

I am not familiar with this charity. The one I work with does allow for such circumstances and you can stop payments at any time by notifying them. However if you cannot get ahold of this charity, you always could stop payments thru your bank if you ever needed to. Hope this helps. I sponsor a young boy in India thru the organization I volunteer with.
