Actually there is a difference. We can afford to be highly tolerant of differences in abstract ideas. But as soon as they translate into actions, we are quite often forced into judgment. An individual can hold the view that governments are evil and that humanity is best off without them, and I may think that person to be mistaken, but I don't consider him to be a bad person. However, the moment he picks up a gun to assassinate the President is the moment I judge his action to be wrong and take whatever steps I can to stop him.
