Here is a little bit of what is in the sermon >

We have been set free from sin, so we can please God.

My comment on this > I see now how if we have trusted in Jesus, now we don't have certain more obvious problems messing us up; so we can feel like now we can do whatever we like. But no > God has not blessed us to be emotionally and socially well so we can do things to please ourselves, but we are in Jesus in order to please God.

So, thank You, God our Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son.

We can become slaves to our appetites and inclinations.

There is nothing better than to become friends of Jesus Christ . . . in a life-giving relationship with our Creator.

In Jesus we become more and more sensitive to what is sin. And we need to not only look at how others are wrong. Jesus said to look at what is in our own eye. Pray for the LORD to search our hearts and change us to be more like Him.

We rely on God’s word in order to do this.
