Note that this is from the Republican part of the committee only.

I hope this hearing will be more serious and productive than their other hearings last year.

Oh. This is from the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, so not serious - just bad boys and girls throwing stones from their glass house.

Actually it is from the Chairman of the committee.

Great. More virtue signaling performance while immigration reform and national debt are still ignored. Just what Americans need. Good thing these performers are in congress and not on Broadway. They would have aptly been canceled there!!

The Democrats are holding up the immigration reform because of politics. They don't want to pass H.R. 2 because of their claim that Republicans offer nothing. But public pressure is increasing, not everyone is deceived. Even if they agree to 99% the idea is to rename it as a Democrat bill and then pass it. There is substantial wrongdoing in the government and Congress has been extremely weak on oversight. The corruption needs to be exposed.

At this point, their ineptitude has been exposed. What good does exposure do? Look at Mr Trump! He has been exposed. It's voters' responsibility to replace these ineffective politicians. How many decades will voters fall for our own exploitation just to vote for their preferred letter? If we demand better we will receive more from these politicians than beguiling words. All Americans do is complain and reproduce generations of the same ignorant voters. We voters are a huge impediment to our own happiness and self-interests. We have to face that fact if we hope for improving government to work For us.

That is factually incorrect. The Democrats have been working with Senate Republicans on it, but the Republican Leader of the House refuses to negotiate.

They don't want to pass H.R. 2 because of their claim that Republicans offer nothing.
I can see why: https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/2

But public pressure is increasing, not everyone is deceived. Even if they agree to 99% the idea is to rename it as a Democrat bill and then pass it.
Nonsense. The idea is to get a good, workable bill. If it is bipartisan then so much the better.

There is substantial wrongdoing in the government and Congress has been extremely weak on oversight. The corruption needs to be exposed.
I seem to recall more than one Inspector General being let go from the last administration. Sadly Jim Jordan is hyper-partisan and evidently uninterested in genuine governance.
