Judgment day

Hi all!

So the bible says that God will wipe away our tears.

I take this very literally.

Why would we still be crying after death?

I somewhat picture pure white light shining through as our entire life is replayed before Him.

Even every thought we have ever had.

This will be such horror for me to see and hear, you know, like what I was in this world.

God has eternity in His hands, and time will really no longer apply once we've passed on from this world, so for me, He will get to everyone like this.

I was hoping for something simple, you know, like God asking why we deserved Heaven.

If I said anything besides the blood of Christ, then yeah, I would be hosed.

There's no way it's going to be that easy, will it?

Anyway, I'm asking what some of your thoughts are on this.

We can't have memory of this world, otherwise, where would be the perfect, eternal joy of being in heaven?

Yet, I'm still bothered by why God would wipe our tears unless we knew about our sinful life.

I wrote too much. Sorry. I should have kept my question simple.

So yeah, what's your thoughts on what judgment day will be like for you.

Well, I know God loves me and the Lord Jesus will be happy to receive me. We don't need to be concerned about every question we have, for all will be revealed to us.

I kind of expect to be judged essentially on four things: 1. How I regarded the Son of God; 2. How I regarded the Word of God; 3. How I regarded the testimony of God; 4. How I regarded the people of God. Think about it --all things of eternal importance is likely encompassed in these.

Yeah, Jack Van Impe (weird TV dude) said we would be judged on two things.

How much did you give to the church?

How many people did you save?

I'm not a big fan on his thinking.

Huh, something new everyday to think about. God is mysterious, Only thing i know to say is i hope i remember only the good of this world and none of the bad, maybe those tears he will wipe away we be tears of great joy! I hope so, but may gods will be done and not my own. I cant wait to see what comes next. God is awesome, can't ever say that enough. Praise him all who are called by his name in the hopes that he will restore your joy.

It seems like that would almost lead to alternate realities of what could have been if only we would have acted differently.

You don't agree with this thought? There could be so many reasons why we would shed tears and I know this will cross my mind. I don't know what it will be like, Judgement day, but I see this as a possibility. How blessed are we to know God? And how sad is it that some just don't get it or give God a chance? They are just blind... Just thinking about this now, makes me feel like crying. But what of when its too late?

Just a thought:

God will wipe away tears - means He will comfort us when we get to heaven. All our tears that we poured here on earth (all the trouble we've gone through) will be wiped away and we will be comforted.

It might be tears of joy or tears over the stuff we went through on earth. God then wipes them away. Keep in mind, we will only be there by God's love and grace through His Son. No one will boast, no one will say "I persevered, I endured, I obeyed, I did this or that." The fact that you made it through was the evidence that you were a genuine born again believer, saved and kept by God.

I know that the one, outstanding and irreplaceable consolation on the Day of Judgment, will be the glorious and gracious fact that you will have Christ as your near, committed and effectual Parakletos, or defense attorney, or advocate before the Father. When the "books" will be "opened", and even your very best of services will be found to be defective relative to the divine, celestial standard, there will be no greater consolation than to have Christ Jesus the Mediator "confess you before the Father and his angels". To see whole worlds burning in flames, the thunderclaps of God's vindictive divine justice aroused as if set in vengeance against the wicked, your own personal attempts to holiness found to be imperfect relative to a divine standard, hell opened beneath to receive the lost, and heaven opened above to receive the saved, what will that be to find Christ standing close beside you, inseparably united by a love bond that all of time and eternity cannot dissolve? What inexpressible honor, consolation and joy will it be, to find your divine Mediator holding your hand within his blood stained palm, while others who have despised the day of his mercy stand alone, unaided, and hopelessly lost forever.

Whole universes of privilege, joy and pleasure could not come close to even scratching the value of having such an Advocate, at such an awful time, and when so very much will hang in the balances unalteringly and forever. He is a great, great fool who will not love him dearly now, for Christ will be eternally loved by the saints then and thereafter, and this is why.

I personally believe that we will be judged according to the ten comandments, which Go says were to follow. You knwo like to not comment adultry, steal, lie, have false gods. In other words, book of revelation, rapture fo church, 7 years left on earth for everyoen to redemm themselfes. BUt not sure how ti works when you die, im assumingto work we do on the earth. I do know if one is not born aagain or repents, they will be cast into fiery lake. get saved! Christ God is salvation

I see a problem here. If one is to take no responsibility for enduring, obeying, persevering, then how can one be held accountable? Would that not imply that God is responsible for those who succeed or fail? If not then people will be able to boast because God didn't piggyback them all the way to heaven.

We know that some will be called "the least in the Kingdom of Heaven", a horrible title. But those who teach that you can disregard the commandments (who make it) will be called this.

We also know that those who teach bear a greater burden for what they say.

I know that believers will judge angels. What a great day that will be because they have labored in love for us in the unseen to protect and arrange us to come into the provision of God. Great thanksgiving. We'll all see the great love of God for us while we were on Earth and I would think tears of joy for all He has done would also be possible.

The thought is that if you were "truly saved", you'll go to Heaven.

Since you can "fail the grace" then this means that technically one will be able to brag about how they obeyed, persevered, etc. Though im guessing that nobody would want too. Is that correct?

We enter into the God's rest by faith. We cease from our own works (which we would otherwise have occasion to boast about). If we walk in the Spirit, we bear God's fruit, and do God's works. They're done by grace. You couldn't possibly do them yourself. That's why there is no boasting, except in the Lord. We boast of His ability and goodness, what He does and who He is.

We receive the grace of God as a gift and work from the rest.
