  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am a christian myself, but have you ever noticed that there are some christians who pre-judge other christians to the extreme?

For example, I recently moved in with my preachers sister. Last night was the first night I ever went out in about 2 months that I have been living here [I am 20 btw], and a situation happened and I wasn't able to return home until 11. I called and explained the situation and so I thought everything was alright. I decided not to go to work today because I spent many hours in the hospital this weekend, and just wanted a day to relax. No I have been labeled a drunk and a drug addict, all because I came home at 11 and didn't go to work. She assumes that I am the forementioned.

She wants me out of the house, of course I will ablige as soon as I get the means.

Have you ever came across this or had a similar situation happen?

My, my. She's certainly oozing with the Christian spirit... or immaturity... or PMS.

I'd say you're certainly going to be better off finding another place to live, but I'd also let her know that her behavior is offensive and uncalled for, and thanks for sharing a home, but you believe you'd be better served living in a more supportive, welcoming environment. And then leave it at that. She seems to be one of those people that reasoning would be lost on.

11 pm?!?! Good grief. You are an adult. If you want to stay out the entire night, you can. She is not your mother.

Seriously, that girl needs to get out more.

It would be a good idea to talk about it and get it out in the open, if only to point out to her that her assumptions are wrong and ill-founded and hurtful.

Bail on this lady. Next thing you need to do is have your personal stuff checked by her. I will give you credit for calling her to inform her what is going on. That shows you are a class act. But that where it should of ended. Judging you for your actions is not a thing that "Christian" are suppose to do, I will leave the judging up to God unless you want me to judge a custom car.

I completely agree with Out of the Flames. That's definitely a poisonous environment you don't need to be in.

Staying out til 11:00 makes you a drug addict and drunk? Geesh.
