I think cases like this bring up an interesting question. Are private companies such as Youtube, Vimeo, or Facebook required to respect the freedom of speech of its users or are they allowed to censor speech on their platforms? It would seem that this judge thinks that it's okay if they censor speech.

If a Christian leaves the faith and makes a video explaining why he left Christianity, this would have been completely acceptable.

Agreed. but the minute that he posts it on a different platform, then the content of said video becomes the property of the company who shows it to the world. And those companies also have posting standards so that they won't run the risk of "offending" their viewers.

So the lesson here is either release it yourself to a limited viewership, or suck in yer gut, and go along with censorship.
