CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My favorite of his movies were What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Edward Scissorhands. My friends told me Secret Window was not great and they gave away the ending so I haven't seen it. I reeeeeealllly want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It looks freaky. I like freaky.

I strongly recommend Ed Wood-it is one of his best performances. Edward Scissorhands is also really good. He is one of the most naturally talented actors that I have ever seen, and I don't say that about too many actors. In fact, I only say that about two others: Clark Gable and Robert Downey, Jr.

gifted is what he is.he's come full circle,and with giftedness sometimes comes a personality others don't understand or maybe they need to "categorize"people. I take JD for what he is,an actor that gives us what we like. One film was odd..about him and an indian,i watched it but it was the only film i've seen i actually wondered why he made. he truly has ste his foot in the doorway of gifted actors. everything else he does in his personal life has no bearing on me or my love for his films.
