Because the elect are sinners and God is just and sin needed to be dealt with. Why? Do you have some other reason?

Because they are commanded and we love Jesus and want to please Him. Do you have some other reasons?

See my answer on the Cross.

Are you saying that if someone is predestined to be saved then they're predestined to be sinless after salvation? That isn't Calvinism, so don't imply that it is, thank you.

So if all sins are atoned for, then why is anyone in Hell?

And I've never said otherwise.

Ham, this election you speak of, is it for all Saints both NT and OT

trying to line it up with scriptures it just doesn't add up, if the elected will be saved, then when God chose you before time begin, then you were saved, so why the Cross, why preach, why even live righteous, why did Jesus have to even come and die and be rise, if God has predetermined you to be in and you have no power to aid to that decision? then it won't matter if you are a mass murderer or a godly priest, you can't over rule a soveriegn God. and He didn't give us free will and paul couldn't have done what He shouldn't or not do what He should, for God would have made Him do all righteous things after He had elected him so that he would be saved. peter would hade never been able to deny Christ just as you claim that Judas had to betray Him I am sorry I can see an unlimited atonemant for all far better than I could a limited atonement for a certain group. which neverf line up with scriptures. whosoever Believes shall have eternal Life!~!!!!!!!!

Predestination: God knew what His creatures (us) would do before He created us, and He did it anyway. God also knew who He was going to save and who He would not. Those that are being saved, are the elect.
God claims for Himself the authority to save whom He choses and to condemn those He choses (see Ex. 33:19, referenced by Paul in Romans 9:15).

Predestination (or for that matter, the Perserverance of the Saints [another debate on another day, perhaps]) does not mean that the elect will be mass murderers in this life. Or rather, they could, because the blood of Christ is sufficient to cover ALL sins, but AFTER their conversion, they would NOT be mass murderers. And they would grieve over their sins. A solid indicator of whether or not one has been "born again" of the Spirit is whether they grieve over the things that grieve the Lord. The elect, upon being called will begin to become more Christ-like: Sanctification. As soon as that person is called by God (a call which the person is ONLY able to answer because he has been born again of the Spirit and is now spiritually alive!), he is now justified. His debt has been paid. God looks at the new believer and instead of seeing (for example) funky little me and all my funky, disgusting sins, He sees Christ and His perfection! This is a good deal for me!

But I am now Christ's. He paid for me. Paid for me with His perfect blood. And I am NOT my own. So now comes the part of the process that's hard for me: Sanctification. Becoming more and more conformed to the image of Christ. This is messy. It would have been even more messy for Peter when he denied Christ because I have the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Peter did also...AFTER Christ died, and the Holy Spirit, Third Person of the Trinity could indwell the hearts of believers (Pentacost).

Freewill does NOT exist in non-believers at all. They cannot choose God because they're dead. They cannot understand God because they are dead, spiritually. But a believer now has the freewill do what they were designed to do in the first place: glorify God. This is the thing that we were designed to do.

Good day and God bless!

That sentence doesn't even make sense. Care to try again? Also, if you're going to quote me, please respond to what I actually said.
