I am reading an old 1972 sanitized bio on Joe Frazier, as I really loved him, and rooted for him when he had his first fight with Ali and I was just a 6th grade. I was the lone voice in the wilderness, the rest of the school wanted Ali, and little old me had to stand up for Joe.
I went to Philly last year to visit his grave - for those interested, he is buried in Mt Laurel Cemetary. His grave is beautiful but was a bit messy, so I gave it a tidy up while there.
There are a gazillion books on Ali, and only this old beat up Phil Pepe book on Joe, I wish someone would write an updated one
- no respect, neither in life nor death.
RIP champ !
