I've been feeling down for the past few days (loneliness as usual). Looking through my assigned reading for Bible as Literature, the assignment is to read a lot of Job.

Great timing, God!

It's really helped lift my mood (as well as a free sandwich I just got!), so I thought I should share some lines that gave me a boost; may God speak to you as He's spoken to me, but even better:

[From Chapter 5]
8 “As for me, I would seek God,
and to God would I commit my cause;
9 who does great things and unsearchable,
marvelous things without number...

17 “Behold, happy is the man whom God reproves;
therefore despise not the chastening of the Almighty.
18 For he wounds, but he binds up;
he smites, but his hands heal.
19 He will deliver you from six troubles;
in seven there shall no evil touch you

God be with you.

Thank you for the free sandwich!
