The premiere was amazing. They dealt with what happens when a person who believed in God decides not to. How many people have dealt with that in real life?

It was so powerful. I was bawling at the end. It's so relevant. This show is amazing.

yes, i missed it too! very good beginning to the season (i like all the lamps she made :) )

did anyone else think it was funny when God walked out of the store with a book and she got mad at him for taking it and he said techically it was his anyway because he made it? it made me chuckle.

I don't remember him saying "he made it". I do remember him saying "Well, technically it all belongs to me anyway" :D But Yeah, I thought that was a good line.

The lamps, I'm sure were meant to be an illustration representative of the trivial things we very often put our energy into that are superfluous compared to God and the meaning of life.

I still don't understand the last episode of last season though. Why did God decide to be silent with Joan? Why did he/she make her feel like she was imagining it all? What purpose was that meant to serve?

I'm glad there is a show like this out there. It stretches the boundaries of what people typically believe about faith or God. It's very thought provoking.

i think the last episode of last season was talking about Faith....
Could she still have faith that she had been talking to God even when everyone told her it had all been in her head..... and thats were the primiere started at,... she doesnt want to believe it actually is God she is talking to, she wants to be normal so much that she doesnt believe it is God even when she sees him again

the premiere was awesome!

SPOILER for ^

basically...hmmm I'll try the best I can.

Joan got out of treatment, and she has changed a lot. One of the changes is that she's making all these lamps (I guess part of therapy); but also she's all changed as a person -- which even Adam starts to notice.

Adam is basically just trying to be there for Joan. He's trying to get Joan to believe that maybe she wasn't crazy after all.

Luke and Grace have this thing going on where they would meet for 5 minutes and make out. But...they don't want anyone to know about it, so they basically pretend like they don't care for each other outside of those 5 minutes. Which...no one really buys. And at one point, Luke accidentally defends Grace which embarrasses him and he runs off.
Later when he goes to her house to see her (he's told that women want men to act like MEN, no matter what they say), she slams the door on him (because they're not supposed to be seen with each other).

Kevin is taking up golf. Well at first he didn't want to, and wanted to do something that was less "uncool"...but later he decides to go for it to make his dad happy. Which he reveals these plans by setting up this goal act in the basement. Although when he shares the news...Will is already troubled by something that happened and he unintentionally explodes.

Will is going through a tough time. He has this flashback of when his son could still walk. And the reason for that is revealed at the end, when he tells his wife that they're being sued by the people who were involved in the accident Kevin was in.

Helen is now really thinking about going back to the church. She talks to this woman (forgot her name, but she...didn't fit the typical "church profile") to get information about it. But first Helen has to talk to the family about it, and when she does...Will flips out. But later he apologizes and reveals the whole suit thing.

God starts appears to Joan again. But Joan is still hurt about the whole ordeal, so she just ignores him at first. Later she tells him that she wants to be normal, and so that she doesn't want to see him again.
She seems to break a little when God asks her if she misses him at all...but she continues to say that she never wants to see him again.

I don't get the whole rabbit thing...so someone will have to expalin that and anything else I messed up. All I know is that there was a lot of screaming and crying.

Kittie i think you did a great job telling the story!

on the rabbit:

God wanted to show Joan what real crazy is, and therefore point out that Joan was not crazy,.... i can't believe they acutually showed the dead rabbit though, eww......

this show new ceases to suprise me!

She was talking to the rabbit and the rabbit was talking back to her like a real friend. It understood her the way nobody else would. And her husband made sure she knew that he had a problem with this... and so she killed the rabbit to make him happy. "She was the only one who I could talk to, the only one who really listened. But you didn't want me to have that, so, look what I've done. Now you don't have to share me with anyone else. Now, I'm all yours. I did it for you. Are you happy now?! " It broke my heart in so many ways.

And Crimson Rose, I'm sure it wasn't a real dead rabbit that you saw. There are rules about cruelty to animals in television and movies. I'm sure it was just movie magic. ;)

Gosh that was a good episode last night. I'm so glad they didn't draw out her violent refusal to believe in God longer. It was a soothing balm to see God comforting her in the end. And yes, I'm sorry for how it came about. But it was indicitive of how I go through trials. Sometimes (in the past) I have to almost be hit over the head with something really awful to get back to that place.

This season is even better than the last. And I for one, didn't even think that was possible.
