Yep really! Growing up, my sect of Christianity didn't allow celebration of Easter (in that way) or Christmas (at all) so as a kid, we never did any of that stuff and now I still have yet to do some of those things. In some ways, I have mixed feelings on it as I feel that Easter has been commercialized and God probably wouldn't be too happy about that since it's possible that it should be all about Jesus, but on the other hand, I don't think it's harmful to anything so *shrugs* I think it would have been fun to color eggs as a kid and I'm kinda sad I missed out on that! I sure do Christmas now though!
But yeah...there's a lot that's still missing...all the fairy tales, I don't really know them...most classic cartoons/movies, I don't know...I wasn't really exposed to anything like that!

meh, it's not that big of a deal. I always thought the easter bunny was scary when i was a kid. a giant rabbit is walking upright through my house, delivering candy? lol

I was taught against Santa...but from the time I was very little, I always wondered why Santa didn't lose weight and always thought that he should

i remember seeing my dad putting out the gifts one night, when he thought i was asleep. i peeked around the corner cuz i heard something, and it was my dad. i never asked him about it, and just kept going along with it until i got older.

I have such a sensitive conscience that I don't think, if ever I had kids, that I could let them believe Santa was real...I'd be sitting there each year feeling guilty that I was lying I do love having Christmas now though. Just the season...it's so beautiful...I love the decorations, I love being able to give gifts at that time, I love seeing others happy...and I love being with family. And Christmas seems to combine all of those

I'm surprised he hadn't figured it out already lol
Now once in a while what we'll do is just for the fun of it, we'll put "From Santa" on our gifts. Usually one of my sisters does that and we usually know it's her...but it can be fun to do that...keep them guessing

Well, he still believed...I don't THINK he knew yet about Santa and all...he took it pretty well though...I'm glad...

Ooh good idea to write with my left hand lol. I've actually gotten decent at left hand writing. When I was a kid, I taught myself to write left handed because I was scared something would happen to my right hand lol it's not nice writing but I can write a little with it now without a problem
Glad Eric took it well. I know some kids really don't.
Probably a good thing I won't be a parent, just because I don't think I could handle letting my kiddos down in any way...yet I wouldn't want to keep them from the norm...so confusing lol

Yes, I don't plan on having kids...unless by a miracle...the perfect man arrives lol Then maybe. But, I don't know if I'd do the whole Santa thing...maybe parents feel pressured to go along with it.
