  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi,
Numbers 20:7-13, in those verses Moses is instructed to speak to the ROCK. The children of Israel are rebellious against Moses. There's a water shortage, and the people are giving Moses the businesses. The Lord doesn't instruct Moses to judge the people, just speak to the ROCK. Moses comes storming down, calling the people rebels. In his anger, he strikes the Rock twice.

IMO this Rock is a picture of our beautiful Jesus. Its obvious the people were in sin. But the Lord gods remedy was to speak to the Rock. In the natural our circumstances may be shaky. The answer back then was to speak to the Rock. Another example in the OC the children of Israel were rebellious. God sent venomous serpents. Many died but when they cried out God instructed Moses to construct the bronze serpent. When the people gazed on it the plague stopped. Was that a snapshot of Calvary, IMO yes. The best thing we can do for our families, churches, or friends is unveil Jesus to them

Yeah . song is one of my favourites right now . so stretched right now . hehe . Jesus is awesome . so much need of Jesus . when we hurt he's always there with us . and when we fellowship with him in these sufferings .. people who were going to give up .. living .. choose to live again .. it's beautiful .
