What i see is a young man, perhaps not more than 15 or 16 sitting on a park bench with Jesus. Beside the young man is a sleeping roll and a knapsack, perhaps all he has in the world. Jesus is very at ease and open, yet His whole demeanor is focused earnestly on the youth, who seems to be seriously considering a question that has been put to him by Jesus.
The artist has set the scene in the Autumn of the young man's life. that, coupled with the accompanyng bed roll and knapsack, would indicate that there is not much time left to him on the road he has taken in life.
So i imgine that Jesus has just told him where the road that he has been taking will lead him. We see Jesus' concern and the youth's deep thoughts. there is a choice to make: keep on down the same road that will end shortly, or else turn aside and walk with Jesus on a different road that leads to life.
I hope he chose life.

It's late so I'll have to come back with my reply about what I would say to Jesus.

kisstheson said:Well, I'm back. I found this little story I wrote called, The Day Jesus Came To Visit Me. I wrote it soon after I had seen Mel Gibson's "Passion of The Christ." so it's not a recent piece. But it kinda goes along with the theme of what we would say to Jesus.
The Day Jesus Came to Visit Me
After I nearly fainted dead away, Jesus came and patted my hands and gently touched my face. "It's alright." He encouraged, "Really, it's Me. Don't be afraid. Come and sit with Me." He pointed to the best chair in my little efficency apartment. It's a poor chair really, with a purple cover thrown over it to hide the scratches and worn out cushians. (I chose purple because I believe it's one of His favorite colors, the color of His Passion.)
I make a terrible hostess because I just stare at Him dumbfounded, overwhelmed with astonishment and joy. HE offers ME the CHAIR and pulls up another one for Himself. He is doing the serving. He pours me a glass of water, offers me a piece of fruit and grabs an apple for Himself.
Then, straddling the other chair smiling, He polishes the apple with the sleeve of His white robe patienly waiting for me to recover.
"So how are you?" His words make my head swim because He searches the depths of my heart with such compassion that words fail me.
"I-I-I..."
Jesus laughs, "I know, My beloved."
His beloved? This misfit Christian? This backwords, unattractive girl? Not at all like the celeberties exalted on TBN or in Charisma magazine. Me, two steps backward one step forward follower?
Yes, but the way Jesus looks at me makes me forget all about myself, every question, every doubt and fear, all mystery's and hidden secrets of the Divine - I want to return that Gaze, unclouded and unashamed.
Now He catches out of the corner of His eye the "Passion" book. He lifts the book, fingering the white cover with the picture of Jim Caviezel struggling under the cross. With careful regaurd He studies all the pictures with in. Suddenly a far away look steals His gaze and a big tear slips down His cheek. Leaning close to Him, I hear His whispered voice, "It was the right time. Time for the world to see My Passion."
