The 144000 will carry on with the SEAL in their forehead unharmed.

The elevated area now called "The temple Mount" is the remains of Roman Fort Antonia. It was built beside of the Jewish temple by the Romans, to house the large number of soldiers necessary to control Jerusalem.
The Jewish temple which was attached to it by a bridge, was destroyed down to the last foundation stone.
We know this because, it is included in the writings of Josephus.

However, one part of it was left. The underground sewer system which carried away the water from the animal sacrifices has now been excavated and the basement of Solomon's temple has been found underground.
It contained large numbers of animal bones and clay seals used on the temple scrolls.

Beautiful artwork, but I'm not in agreement with the theological chronology that you have established based on it.

My understanding is that first comes the tribulation, then Jesus returns to take his, the second angel of the harvest comes to herald in the wrath of God upon the earth which God himself then unleashes upon all those remaining. After God's wrath is spent and all upon the earth are dead, Jesus returns with his to establish his 1,000 year reign. After the 1,000 year reign then everyone is raised and called to the final judgment of God.

meta was translated as after but meta also means "WITH" in english,
In fact the majority of this word META was translated as WITH more often in the new Testament.
so the appropriate translation should read
immedately WITH the tribulation
Matt 24:30 Then will appear = koi tote phanesetai (in greek)
tote was translated as then but tote can also mean "at that time".
so the more correct translation should read : At that time (END OF TIME)will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven.

Yes, I agree that the sun will still be shining on the day of Jesus' return for those who are his. I'm not sure how this got into the discussion, but yes, I agree with you on that point. Yes, the children of God will be put through some fairly severe trials leading up to Jesus' return. Even today, in some places on the earth, those who are a part of the bride are beaten black and blue here on the earth.

It's always dangerous to make up a theology based on one verse, which of course isn't how the Scriptures were divided when they were written. Here's what Matthew 24 actually says in the format in which it was written:

"Immediately after the distress of those days " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.

Notice please the order of the events. Immediately after the 'distress of those days' (tribulation) the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light. The stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds, and you know what it says he will do next? AND HE WILL SEND HIS ANGELS WITH A LOUD TRUMPET CALL, AND THEY WILL GATHER HIS ELECT FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF THE HEAVENS TO THE OTHER (RAPTURE).

When Jesus returns at the time when God cuts short the days of tribulation, he will gather those living and buried upon the earth. Both those buried in graves, those whose ashes were spread out to the winds and those whose bodies went to the bottom of the sea. Everywhere from one end of the heavens to the other, those who died belonging to Jesus will be gathered after the sun is made dark and the moon does not give its light. Of course, because the moon does not actually produce its own light, the effect of the sun being dark will automatically make the moon also dark. According to the very passage of Scripture that you use to 'prove' that Jesus comes before the tribulation, if you read it all completely, makes clear that your position is not supported by it.

Now, the passage does not provide evidence that the sun will remain darkened after Jesus takes from the earth all those who are his, but it may. The darkened sun may well be a temporary effect just as it was in the days of Jesus' crucifixion. God can do that. He can darken the sun for a time and then bring its light forth again. He has done so in the past. In the days of the plagues on Egypt God darkened the sun for a time and in the day of His Son's earthly death He also darkened the sun.

Those "taken" in the passage above are destroyed, just as those taken in the flood were destroyed.

Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
(The eagles in this case are vultures that eat dead bodies.)




This passage is best understood as another version of the parable of the wheat and the tares found in Matthew chapter 13, where the wicked are gathered first and destroyed.
The wheat is "left behind" to be gathered into the barn.
