ARK...the Object that CARRIED the WORD of God.

Not the Word that carried the word...

It is not proper context to say the Word carried the word of God.

The Ark contained the word of God....
Mary contained the Word of God.

Christ was carried by His Mother...He didnt carry Himself til birth.

Yeah, the ARK was a box made of gold to carry around stone tablets that are just referred to as the Word of God since God is who wrote the commandments with his own finger.

Mary cannot be the ark. She is not God with us. This is what the ark was all about. Mary is not with us now. She is in the presence of Jesus her body back into the dust it was created from. Jesus is with us though until the end of the age. His body knew no decay. He is God with us. For ever and all eternity He is God with us.

Show me in scriptures where Mary is dust and decayed.

Show me where she was left to rot and was buried.

WE know outside of scriptures how the Apostles died... and we know they did die. It was not recorded in scriptures, and neither was Mary's Assumption.

It was recorded outside of scriptures also.

But you will say that no where in scriptures does it say she was Assumed. ....and it also says no where that she died.

The Ark carried the WORD of God...
The Ark was not God, but the bearer of all we are to have that IS God.

Yeah, the ARK was a box made of gold to carry around stone tablets that are just referred to as the Word of God since God is who wrote the commandments with his own finger.

 And the great detail God had desired for the box...
The ornateness and beauty of 'graven images of angels' on the side...

He held this Ark in high regard, for it was to be carried in a certain way by choosen men who would protect it so it was not defiled...
For the contents of this Ark was most precious...as it contained the Living God's Law...the staff of Aaron the high priest of God's priesthood, and the bread brought forth ...

AS also Mary contained within her, the Bread of Life, the Law of God [His Word] and the High Priest of the priesthood of Melchizedek.
The unending line of the priesthood.

:amen:

Meantime, I hope IAA understands the difference between the contents and the container.

God Bless.

was Jesus alway in flesh? No He became flesh. Therefore He is the word carried in human likness. He will rule the world with an iron Rod. He is the bread that came out of Heaven. The 10 commandments Jesus fulfilled. Bringing us a new covenant Grace and His blood. He is the high Priest. All of there pertain to Christ. After His birth He was called emmanuel. God is with us. Just as the Ark was Jesus is. It is the Flesh that carried the word of God. For He was not flesh before He was born. In this tent of Flesh was carried the word of God. For our human bodies are just our tents. In The human likness of Christ was carried the Word of God. When He comes back He will still be the word of God. He has His glorified Body now but still is the Word of God. We still have Him with us for He says where two or three are gathered in my name. THERE I AM in the midst of them. The Ark. The Word of God.

You just can't answer a simple question, can you?

You really need a major lesson in Christology, not to be rude or anything...

Now here comes the part of the Immaculate Conception. It is believed by some that Mary was born without the stain of original sin. Yes, she was saved by Christ, but uniquely as that Christ never actually let her have original sin. The reason would be that in her womb, she would carry someone so important, that God had specially prepared her as the ark was specially prepared so that it may carry the tablet of the Ten Commandments, the staff of Aaron, and the manna from heaven. Then comes the part of the Assumption. Based on this, there is the conclusion that Mary was assumed into heaven, not by her own power, but also by Christ's. Mary was not subject to death, having been created immaculately as Adam and Eve was and never having commited sin because the Lord has specially prepared her. Therefore, Mary's body also did not decay. So just as the ark was specially prepared, Mary, Mother of the Lord and New Ark of the Covenant, was specially prepared.

Now it has been an opinion in this thread that Jesus was both the Ark and the New Covenant. However, I don’t really see the Bible describing Jesus as the Ark, though it does describe him as the New Covenant. Mary, on the hand, was described as the New Ark. In Exodus 40:34 it says, “Then the cloud covered the meeting tent, and the glory of the Lord filled the Dwelling.” Now in Luke 1:35 it says, “And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.” Luke uses the same word, “episkiasei”, to describe the power of God overshadowing Mary as the Old Testament uses to describe the cloud covering the tent where the Ark of the Covenant was. Luke puts another parallel. In 2 Samuel 6:9, David exclaims, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”, just as Elizabeth exclaims in Luke 1:43, “And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?”. Also as the Ark stayed in the house of Obededom for three months (2 Samuel 6:11), Mary stays with Elizabeth for three months (Luke 1:56). Also notice Revelation 11:19 states, “Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, and earthquake, and a violent hailstorm.” Then in Revelation 20:1, it goes to say, “A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and other head a crown of twelve stars.” It wasn’t until later that the Bible was separated into verses and chapters. The showing of the ark of the covenant and the great sign of a woman in the sky preceded each other. This draws a relationship between Mary and the Ark.

Here's some more:

Steve Ray in Mary said:
Dressed as a priest, David danced and leapt in front of the ark (2 Sam. 6:14).
John the Baptist — of priestly lineage — leapt in his mother's womb at the approach of Mary (Luke 1:41).

David shouts in the presence of the ark (2 Sam. 6:15).
Elizabeth "exclaimed with a loud cry" in the presence of the Mary (Luke 1:42).

The house of Obed-edom was blessed by the presence of the ark (2 Sam. 6:11).
The word blessed is used three times; surely the house was blessed by God (Luke 1:39-45).

The ark returns to its home and ends up in Jerusalem, where God's presence and glory is revealed in the temple (2 Sam. 6:12; 1 Kgs. 8:9-11).
Mary returns home and eventually ends up in Jerusalem, where she presents God incarnate in the temple (Luke 1:56; 2:21-22).

HELLO!:o

I am so not agreeing with this.

For one thing the body of Moses disappeared...Henoch disappeared because God took him, and Elijah was taken to God....all in their bodies.

So that's one myth down....and another one to go.

You say ONLY Christ's body would not see decay. And I am sure you said ONLY as in ONE. Besides the ones who were taken to God bodily, as I mentioned...

I can show you pictures of many many Saints who are not decayed. They have died, but their bodies are still warm and they smell sweet as flowers.

Not to mention they are 100 plus years since death. Some are 800 plus years ago since death occured and their bodies are uncorrupted still, and WARM as body temperature.

You read something in the Bible and you make exclusive, and it somehow denies ALL aspects of the Bible and reality we see.

For instance exclusivity of Christ rising uncorrupted was already shown erroneous. [Henoch, Elijah and Moses] Also Saints who are left intact as though just sleeping....from 1200 AD and such.

SInce God has assumed other bodies ...I am more than certain His Mother rose bodily too, especially since no where in the entire world has her body ever been known to lay to rest.

SHE IS THE ARK 'OF' the Covenant.
She carried the Word of God.

Hey here is something that just came to me...
Both Arks disappeared. ;)

The one who carried the word of God, and the One who carried the Word of God.

[Although the end times the wooden box Ark may appear again.]
O wait...same is said about the Ark, Mary.

1Cr 15:1 ¶ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

1Cr 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

1Cr 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

1Cr 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1Cr 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

1Cr 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

1Cr 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

1Cr 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

1Cr 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

1Cr 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which [was bestowed] upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1Cr 15:11 Therefore whether [it were] I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

1Cr 15:12 ¶ Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

1Cr 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

1Cr 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain.

1Cr 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

1Cr 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

1Cr 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith [is] vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1Cr 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

1Cr 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

1Cr 15:20 ¶ But now is Christ risen from the dead, [and] become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1Cr 15:21 For since by man [came] death, by man [came] also the resurrection of the dead.

1Cr 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

1Cr 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1Cr 15:24 Then [cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

1Cr 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

1Cr 15:26 The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death.

1Cr 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

1Cr 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

1Cr 15:29 ¶ Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

1Cr 15:30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?

1Cr 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

1Cr 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

1Cr 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

1Cr 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame.

1Cr 15:35 ¶ But some [man] will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

1Cr 15:36 [Thou] fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

1Cr 15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other [grain]:

1Cr 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

1Cr 15:39 All flesh [is] not the same flesh: but [there is] one [kind of] flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, [and] another of birds.

1Cr 15:40 [There are] also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial [is] another.

1Cr 15:41 [There is] one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for [one] star differeth from [another] star in glory.

1Cr 15:42 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

1Cr 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

1Cr 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Cr 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit.

1Cr 15:46 Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

1Cr 15:47 The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven.

1Cr 15:48 As [is] the earthy, such [are] they also that are earthy: and as [is] the heavenly, such [are] they also that are heavenly.

1Cr 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

1Cr 15:50 ¶ Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

1Cr 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Cr 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Cr 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.

1Cr 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Cr 15:55 O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?

1Cr 15:56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.

1Cr 15:57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Cr 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Hee hee okay Repentant. Maybe you could lead by example. Jesus was taken in body form. Do you believe that He still wears His flesh there? Or do you believe that He now has a glorified Body? As He said when He told the disciples not to touch Him yet?

 Yes, I know. Thank you.

And....??

Hee hee okay Repentant. Maybe you could lead by example. Jesus was taken in body form. Do you believe that He still wears His flesh there? Or do you believe that He now has a glorified Body? As He said when He told the disciples not to touch Him yet?

Did you per chance read the chapter Iollain pasted?
The corruptible becomes incorruptible....
Odd she choose that, and you posted this afterwards.

Christ rose bodily. The whole kit and kaboodle.
Divine Flesh.
He was the First resurrection....IE, He was the firstfruit of redemption.

The Resurrection means we receive our old bodies back.

O, and you didnt reply to my earlier post.

I get it...

 I know you do.

He was not taken IAA he ascended by his own power... did you not know this?

And check out in the bible where it says Jesus has retained his wounds.

Yes, Jesus is risen and his body is glorified... what does that have to do with the price of eggs?

we don't get our old bodies back. We get uncorruptable Bodies back.
1Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, 3because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Our Corruptable bodies will be turned into incorruptable bodies. They will be glorified bodies.

Jesus said He did everything by the power of the Father. And yes the Bible says He was taken.

I have been corrected by Scripture.
50When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. 52Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. 53And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.
So He was taken up into heaven
