Jesus is the ONLY way!

I was dismayed recently when a person claiming to be a Christian said that Jesus was NOT the only way to Heaven, and then another "Christian" agreed.

Folks that is outright Blasphemy. That is calling Christ a liar, because HE said: "No man cometh unto the Father BUT by ME." So if Christ is a liar, why claim to follow Him and call yourself a Christian? That is utter non sense!

Now I know I will be in trouble and told that I am not showing Christian love by calling this what it is. But I think the most loving thing I can do is to point out this is wrong.

If you believe that you can get to Heaven without Jesus, then you are definitely NOT a Christian and you will not see Heaven with such a belief.

This is as basic as John 3:16, and as simple as Rev. 3:20. The New Testament is NOTHING LESS than the story of Jesus, and how to go to Heaven, and what is expected of you before you get there.

If there is anyone here that does not understand what the Bible says about Jesus and how to be saved, PM me and I will gladly lay it out in simple terms for you.

Eternity is very long and the alternative to Heaven is unthinkable! Don't make the mistake of thinking you can get there without Jesus!

May the Holy Spirit open your eyes and minister to your heart and point you to Jesus! It is my prayer that you come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Gerry , I'm glad you posted that , I'v also seen many threads with christians saying jesus is not the only way , many seem to believe that just loving one another and bringing about the brotherhood of man is the answer in it's self .

You will notice in my profile I have written " In the last days they will heap up teachers for themselves " I put that there for a very good reason .

I believe people should get back to reading their bibles , before the darkness engulfs their minds .

What you say is so true Gerry! There's only one gate into heaven, and that gate is Jesus.

And Brian I can't agree more with what you say. Reading our Bibles and asking for the Lord to grant us understanding and guidance is the only way we can ever truly learn what his word has to say.

Yes, and I find it interesting that so many people call themselves Christians, yet admit that they do not believe what He says. If Christ says He is the ONLY way, and you believe He is lying, then why calll yourself a Christian? Why claim to follow someone you believe is a liar?

Yes, this universal "brotherhood of man" false teaching is as anti Christian as any can get, and I am glad to see that true Christians these days are beginning to stand up and take a stand for what is right and True.

Christians are beginning to realize that they were not called to pacifism., but indeed to spiritual WARFARE.

Yeah, I have asked myself that same question. Who and why would they, say such a thing. It is, at the least, some very confused individuals. As you know some think they are a Christian because they were born in a "Christian Nation". Like those who think they are a hamburger because they ate at McDonalds.

I understand! I too grow weary of this so called "new age" teaching that we are all going to Heaven, anyway, we are just on different roads. It makes God a liar, and a mockery of Christ!

Amen to this! And ALL of God's Word is True ALL the time. I am always amazed how some people think they can pick and choose which parts they want to believe and explain away the others. It it is all true or it is all bunk.
Amd I can GUARANTEE it is ALL True!

In the part of the country that I'm living in right now, that is a pretty common teaching. I don't know how one can call himself a Presbyterian Minister and still proclaim such blasphemy!

It depresses and angers me.

I think you mean passivity not pacifism.

Passivity is to sit around doing nothing, while pacifism is the practice of peace-making. Christians are called to be peacemakers, but not passive.

No, I mean pacifism as pertains to warfare. And yes, as Christians, we are to be peacemakers. But peace is maintained through strength and not weakness. And so in a spiritual sense we must be strong and fight the fight. That is why He gave us spiritual armor.

I understand. But once blasphemy starts there is no end to the deceit and evil. They have blasphemed God and mocked the finished work of Christ, and it is no big deal to them to smear the name of Presbyterianism. Just as there is a rather famous church in Dallas that is as charismatic as they come, but they hang a sign out in front of the church calling themselves Beverly Hills Baptist Church. It is a lie. There is nothing Baptist about them. I would never attend a Church that is ashamed to admit what they are, and practice deceit by pretending to be something they are not.

Any of the major ecumenical peoples would be saying Jesus is not the only way, too.... trying to join Muslims, Mormons, Jews, Christians, etc., all together.

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light, no one comes to the Father but through me." Hmmm John 14:6 I think.

And there are also people that say you need to work for your salvation, I kinda think that falls into the same category
