Well, the Word had yet to be incarnated (John 1:1; 14), so I think that is indifferent. Jesus didn't have a physical body until He was conceived in Mary's womb, as witnessed by the angel Gabriel (Luke 1:26-38).
Maybe He was present in a way we cannot understand due to Original Sin? A Theophany? Was it the Father, or the Son, or the entire Godhead (Father, Son and Spirit) who was in the garden? The text doesn't speak clearly of what is meant by "God walking in the garden in the cool of the day" (Genesis 3:8), so I would trouble my mind on it.
That being said, we see a lot of Jesus in Genesis 3:
*Adam and Eve were ashamed when they discovered that they were naked (v.7);
Jesus was put almost naked on the cross, to take away their shame and guilt.
*The offspring in v.15 talks about a man (the Messiah) who will crush the snake (Devil).
*Thorns and thistles were the result of Adam's sin (v.18); Jesus wore a crown of thorn (Matthew 27:29).
*In v.21, God covers Adam and Eve with the garments of skins, covering them; Christ sacrificed Himself to cover their sin.
