This young generation is already being indoctrinated by the media and popular culture, but nobody seems to notice it.God Bless

But of course, the encouragement to use drugs, get an abortion, have teenage sex, rebel against parents, curse and kill, is the way to liberation, right? Because it's shown itself to be so effective in providing our kids with an outlet to the "dangerous, backwards" lifestyle that is Christianity. Right?

Is it child abuse to not let your kids hear EVERY possible view point?

No. It is child abuse to indoctrinate them through fear, blackmail, and intimidation, which is what these camps do.

I have no real problem with parents choosing to homeschool their children according to the Bible. I think it's unwise, but not abusive. They don't have to let their kids hear every point of view. But threats of hellfire and eternal damnation for even the slightest questioning of dogma is emotionally damaging. Kids can suffer from nightmares for years after seeing a scaryish movie (for me it was Gremlins), and that's just a movie. Imagine how the young mind is ravaged when parents, and everybody around them that they think they are supposed to trust, is preaching about an eternity of torture and flaming demons for even the slightest transgression.

Except Jesus Camp/BattleCry only want you to hear THEIR view point, no one else's. Haven't you even seen BC's Honor Academy program? You're not allowed to go on the internet unsupervised, not allowed to read secular books or watch rated R movies... etc. etc.

If that's not restricting viewpoints, I dunno what is.

no wonder so many people are turned off to Christianity. If I ever grew up with any of those families I would of probably became athiest. they are off in a different reality, a reality where if you are not one of us you are demonic. so closed minded.
I would think it's impossible to accept Christ if you don't know anything else.

Oh noes! I guess that means The Passion is right out of the question, eh?
There's prolly some exceptions. But you get the idea. There really is no different opinions here. Like what they claim MTV and the Hollywood liberals do, they don't give you a choice.

true but so many people who were born in christianity now are of different beliefs, or people who see stuff like this "Jesus Camp" are turned off but their religion just like so many people hate the muslims. Its not really the muslims they hate its the terrorists, but the only time they hear the word muslim it is usually in the same sentence as terrorist(s)

Well, I certainly wouldn't go around indoctrinating my children into wanting to die for their faith. Life is to be cherished, above all. Life without risks is passionless, but there is a value in self-preservation too.

On the other hand, I would not want them to grow up with the belief that nothing is worth dying for either.

My desire is that people in our society have a passionate belief in our society-in its freedoms, and its openness, and in its creativity and industriousness too.

I would want my children to believe that the society that I brought them into is worth fighting for, and even dying for, when that becomes the only way to preserve the principles that are worthwhile to be believed in.

And I would want my children to be exposed to the idea that the best values of this society are a reflection of a 2000 year history of contemplating the life of Christ.

its just more then that. its also lazyness, lack of respect towards others, money buys happiness, being more radical about things, youth lack their free thinking skills because it is "uncool" to be outside of society or just thinking about other then what is cool. so much propaganda in pop culture. pop culture and big corporations go hand and hand. there is nothing good about pop culture

But of course, the encouragement to use drugs, get an abortion, have teenage sex, rebel against parents, curse and kill, is the way to liberation, right?

I sense some anger here. Where is the "encouragement"? Are there advertisements on the television and billboards that say, "Girls, Get An Abortion, It's Fun!", or, "Do Cocaine, It'll Make you Lose Weight!". There is no direct advertisement to do that. Are you saying movies do that, somehow tell kids to kill, do drugs and have abortions? No, movies don't directly tell kids to do that, because if we used the Bible in it's entirety as a standard as reading material that influences kids, we can also say the Bible encourages you to kill for God, that God wants people who don't believe in our faith to be killed, that God wants men to take multiple wives, that God wants people to be stoned to death for infractions, I could go on and on.

Because it's shown itself to be so effective in providing our kids with an outlet to the "dangerous, backwards" lifestyle that is Christianity. Right?

Is that sarcasm? Don't let your anger turn into that.

Look, most Christian parents that I know in my immediate community don't raise their kids in the "Jesus Camp" mode. But there are a significant number of people who believe in that. What are we as Christians obliged to do in this case? Say it's dandy, like some moderate Muslims and not criticize it? No, I don't think it's okay to raise one's child to believe in their faith so deeply that they would agree to die, or kill, for it. Faith should be more sacred than that.

You keep using the word "directly" during this statement. Are you implying that you see where they do encourage kids to go out and drink, have sex, do drugs, indirectly speaking that is? As far as I can tell, all of the "teen" movies out there that contain sex, drugs, and alcohol seem to imply that doing it is fun. Which it is, but only for a season. What they don't seem to show, in their efforts to abandon the ship known as Reality, is that constant sex like the kind they show (unwed, especially teenagers, multiple partners, etc) leads to STD's, unwanted pregnancies (which leads many to choose abortion), and a fractured childhood. I don't think I need to go into drugs or alcohol, as those seem to be pretty obvious enough. But violence? Listen to Ludacris, Eminem. Actually, don't, just read the lyrics to some of their songs and you'll see what I mean. And they call it music?

So no, they don't "directly" tell them to do these things, but with all the teen, youth, young adult shows out there and the oral holocaust known as gangsta rap, teenagers today are being encouraged on a daily basis to do those things. And many do.

Is that sarcasm? Don't let your anger turn into that.

Yes that was sarcasm, but no it was not anger. It's very rare when I actually get angry on here. But thanks for your concern, you're right I shouldn't let it turn to anger. (this is not sarcasm, I'm serious).

Look, most Christian parents that I know in my immediate community don't raise their kids in the "Jesus Camp" mode. But there are a significant number of people who believe in that. What are we as Christians obliged to do in this case? Say it's dandy, like some moderate Muslims and not criticize it? I'm not saying I'm for the Jesus Camp. As a matter of fact, I didn't once endorse it or say that I think the Camp is a great idea. Personally, I wouldn't want to go there as I think the parents probably have a tendency to be overly controlling. That aside, they hardly strike me as the kind that would strap bombs to their chest, quite the opposite of the Muslims in their training camps.

Faith should be more sacred than that.

Not according to these:

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. -John 15:13

Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. -Luke 14:25-27

[all spoken of by Christ Himself]

No, there is no faith more sacred than the kind that would cause someone to sacrifice him/herself for their faith.

[i'm sensing a volley of "but but but, what about terrrrorristz!!" questions coming]

The internet supervision is to keep people from either looking at inappropriate content or doing illegal or mean-spirited activities.

The secular books deal is a little interesting, but I can see where they are coming from. I don't think, however, they would restrict one from reading "A Series of Unfortunate Events" or some secular poetry if you asked. Again, I'm not sure.

As for R rated movies, of course they'll allow the Passion to be watched. I'd have a little trouble with that one as I am a fan of The Matrix Trilogy, Man on Fire, Last Samurai, etc, all containing Biblical messages in their plots, even though they contain swearing.

But this is the sacrifice they CHOOSE to make.

I would think it's impossible to accept Christ if you don't know anything else.

But that is why we were given the CHOICE. Adam and Eve knew of nothing else other than God, but they rejected Him anyway. Every person can choose to accept Him or reject Him, regardless of whether you know anything else or not.

Maybe, when you are hammered with the same message non-stop, it's not the same as what God did with Adam and Eve.

we can also say the Bible encourages you to kill for God

No, you can't. I suspect you are using the book of Joshua for this where God commanded the Israelites to wipe of the horrifyingly sinful people of Canaan. The Bible does not encourage, it merely requires obedience of the Christian when God asks of them to do something.

,
that God wants people who don't believe in our faith to be killed

Again, this is incorrect. If you want me to explain this, provide me an example and I will.

, that God wants men to take multiple wives,

God allowed it. How is it sinful?

that God wants people to be stoned to death for infractions,

He doesn't "want" people to be stoned. Those laws were not merely for a simple infraction, but preventive laws that kept society in order.

I could go on and on.

Only if you want to.

Aside from the fact that they were in God's presence for an unspecified amount of time, where they could actually TALK to God, walk with Him, and hang out with Him. Would you say that God indoctrinated them by stating the obvious fact that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life? Or do you think He should've given them a choice (which He did quite clearly) to either accept Him or reject Him? Which do you think is easier: rejecting what humans say about God, or rejecting God face-to-face after He just created you?

But the problem is, based on your premise, that movies, books, a person speaking to you, music, sermons, poetry, events that you - anything - directly affects a child's behavior.

If you believe that movies can change a child into a inappropriate content and drug consuming fiend, then what of the influence of books, parents' prejudices, sermons, abuse in the name of "loving discipline", and the Bible on the said child?

The Bible has told people to kill in the name of God. The Bible, according to some folks who interpret it that, sanctions the stoning of homosexuals, adulteresses, people who don't believe in God and even children who disobey their parents.

By the way, "oral holocaust" is really, really disrespectful of that actual event called the Holocaust. I know you are trying to make a point, but there is no comparison between what happened to the Jewish people in Europe then and the way rap music is affecting young people today.

Do you think for a moment those poor kids who are brainwashed in the Muslim madrassas, or who are paraded around by their parents with toy bomb vests know what in the heck is going on? The fact is that it starts somewhere. The hatred, the isolation from other people who are not of your faith, the misinformation and the worship of leaders who are abusing the trust of the faithful.

Sure, why the heck not?

"Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

Kill Witches
You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17 NAB)

Kill Homosexuals
"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

Kill Fortunetellers
A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

Death for Hitting Dad
Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

Death for Cursing Parents
1) If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness. (Proverbs 20:20 NAB)
2) All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

Death for Adultery
If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

Death for Fornication
A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)

Death to Followers of Other Religions
Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

Kill Nonbelievers
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Kill False Prophets
If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)

Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. "The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him." (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

Kill Women Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding Night
But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father's house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)

Kill Followers of Other Religions.
1)If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

2) Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT)

Death for Blasphemy
One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father got into a fight with one of the Israelite men. During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the LORD's name. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother's name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. They put the man in custody until the LORD's will in the matter should become clear. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard him to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. Say to the people of Israel: Those who blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their guilt and be punished. Anyone who blasphemes the LORD's name must be stoned to death by the whole community of Israel. Any Israelite or foreigner among you who blasphemes the LORD's name will surely die. (Leviticus 24:10-16 NLT)

Kill False Prophets
1) Suppose there are prophets among you, or those who have dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles, and the predicted signs or miracles take place. If the prophets then say, 'Come, let us worship the gods of foreign nations,' do not listen to them. The LORD your God is testing you to see if you love him with all your heart and soul. Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. The false prophets or dreamers who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in the land of Egypt. Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you. (Deuteronomy 13:1-5 NLT)"

Here's a bit more:

Infidels and Gays
So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God's death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. (Romans 1:24-32 NLT)

Kill Anyone who Approaches the Tabernacle
For the LORD had said to Moses, 'Exempt the tribe of Levi from the census; do not include them when you count the rest of the Israelites. You must put the Levites in charge of the Tabernacle of the Covenant, along with its furnishings and equipment. They must carry the Tabernacle and its equipment as you travel, and they must care for it and camp around it. Whenever the Tabernacle is moved, the Levites will take it down and set it up again. Anyone else who goes too near the Tabernacle will be executed.' (Numbers 1:48-51 NLT)

Kill People for Working on the Sabbath
The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: 'Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.' (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

Kill Children
From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!" The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)

The Curious
And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and' fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter. And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us? (1Samuel 6:19-20 ASV)

Killed by a Lion
Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Strike me!" But the man refused to strike the prophet. Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And sure enough, when he had gone, a lion attacked and killed him. (1 Kings 20:35-36 NLT)

Killing the Good Samaritan
The ark of God was placed on a new cart and taken away from the house of Abinadab on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab guided the cart, with Ahio walking before it, while David and all the Israelites made merry before the Lord with all their strength, with singing and with citharas, harps, tambourines, sistrums, and cymbals.
When they came to the threshing floor of Nodan, Uzzah reached out his hand to the ark of God to steady it, for the oxen were making it tip. But the Lord was angry with Uzzah; God struck him on that spot, and he died there before God. (2 Samuel 6:3-7 NAB)

Kill Sons of Sinners
Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21 NAB)

God Will Kill Children
The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

Kill Men, Women, and Children
"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT)

But the problem is, based on your premise, that movies, books, a person speaking to you, music, sermons, poetry, events that you - anything - directly affects a child's behavior.

Everything affects your behavior, it merely depends on how much or little and for how long or short.

I
f you believe that movies can change a child into a inappropriate content and drug consuming fiend, then what of the influence of books, parents' prejudices, sermons, abuse in the name of "loving discipline", and the Bible on the said child?

I don't believe one movie can, I believe a constant watching of perverse movies and looking at inappropriate contentographic material can change a person into a inappropriate content-watching, drug-consuming fiend, however. And as always, there is the potential for everything to be used for something ill. This has been proven whether it's done by atheists or by pastors that some people just will harm you. However, merely because a "messenger" (I use strict quotes for that) claims that God said for you to do thus does not mean He actually did, as has been demonstrated by some Christians throughout history.

The Bible has told people to kill in the name of God. The Bible, according to some folks who interpret it that, sanctions the stoning of homosexuals, adulteresses, people who don't believe in God and even children who disobey their parents.

No, the Bible did not tell people to kill in the name of God. The Bible said that God personally TOLD the Israelites Himself to kill people. There's a big difference between killing in the name of X and being told to kill by X.

By the way, "oral holocaust" is really, really disrespectful of that actual event called the Holocaust. I know you are trying to make a point, but there is no comparison between what happened to the Jewish people in Europe then and the way rap music is affecting young people today.

The word holocaust means a "great act of destruction or a great loss of life" just like the word "massacre" however, nobody seems to have a problem with using that word, despite there being PLENTY of massacres throughout history. But from now on, I won't use it in this dialogue.

No, they probably don't know why they are doing what they are doing. However, there's an immense difference between these Christians and those Muslims. Islam endorses the slaughtering of infidels, while Christianity does not. Christianity teaches to love your enemy while Islam teaches to slaughter them.

The reason God ordered the deaths of those in the land of Canaan was because they were a dangerous, barbaric, and vehemently pagan culture that practiced child sacrifice, the worshiping of false deities, homosexuality, all the sins. These cultures were dangerous to the Israelites not only physically, but also because there was a chance of the cultures mixing and polluting not only the Jewish way of life, given to them by God, but also threatening the coming of the Messiah through the Jews.

"Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests

Priests were direct servants from God. To disobey a priest ordained by the Lord is to disobey God Himself and that is a very serious offense.

Kill Witches

Witches were known for the demonic practices, specifically, conjuring up "spirits" as is most famous in the "Witch of Endor" in 1 Samuel. Again, this was an evil practice which God did not want polluting Jewish society.

Kill Homosexuals

Again, this was a perverse practice that destroys society. It was evident in Sodom and Gomorrah (and the neighboring cities).

Death for Hitting Dad

There is no account on record for anyone being put to death for cursing their parents. This law was put in place to show the seriousness that God has for obedience towards parents.

Kill False Prophets

False prophets are known for leading people astray. God takes it very seriously whenever someone speaks using His Holy Name that was not anointed by Him. False prophets are dangerous, as they lead many people astray and some ultimately to their damnation.

Death for Adultery

Death for Fornication

Such acts were known for destroying families, and would have, had the practices not been given strict laws against them, destroyed society. I'm sorry to sound like a broken record, but that is just the way it is.

Kill Followers of Other Religions.

Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God

Notice that it said that if that one person leads the town's citizens astray, the whole town was to be destroyed. And worshiping false gods, specifically, the gods of the Canaanite which practiced what I listed above, was a detestable act to the Lord.

Kill Women Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding Night)

Not only did the virgins lie, but they lied to their family, to their fiance, to their friends, and most importantly, they lied to God (as marriage is a sacred act). Such an act of dishonor tore apart families.

Death for Blasphemy

Blaspheming against the Lord is a terrible sin. That's all there is to it. Speaking against the Lord was a detestable act not only because it was sinful, but because it encouraged others to do likewise. Leading others astray, I believe, is something we already covered.

Infidels and Gays

God had told them that homosexuality was a SIN, meaning, it could lead to one's damnation. He warned them countless times to change, but they did not, knowing full well the penalty for those acts. Maybe they did not receive a punishment in this life, but they will in the next.

Kill People for Working on the Sabbath

Isn't it sad that God had to make a law, telling people to NOT work on the Sabbath? Also, the seventh day was a Holy day, set apart by God for resting.

I've read through the rest of them and basically I've been saying the same concept over and over again. God is the Creator of the Universe, the Ultimate Authority on morality. It is He and He Alone that decides what is right and wrong. Surely, you have heard the verse "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life"? All sin is deserving of death. This is justice, but God provided a way so that we might be saved of death. The sacrifices and the priests were symbolic of Christ's sacrifice.

Also, God is the One who institutes the laws. All of the practices listed were either evil or acts of disobedience. Their deaths were on their own heads for disobeying a clearly given order from God. This is not something I made but, it's just the way it is.

Point of christalees post is you claimed no one can say the Bible encourages you to kill for God. You've done nothing here but justify that, not dispell it.
