• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

So I see in here that there are others who suffer from jealousy. Extreme jealousy is not normal and is usaully a result of mistrust and a wild imagination. Many people who were abused as children experience this. This is a paranoa. I haven't figured it all out myself...in fact I struggle with it a lot and welcome suggestions, and things that work well or you if you struggle with this to.

I would love to hear what makes you jealous and how you try and deal with it. Feel free to send me a message if you want to chat about this.

Well by the looks of it, the majority of females
get highly jelous, it drives me to a point where i could honestly go crazy.
But think about this poll, if the majority of females are getting jelous, they could be getting jelous of one another.
I just dont get how guys can be laid back and so " I dont care " sort of additude...
I mean its not a really big thing for most guys... and then they keep telling us where silly for being jelous, its just because they dont have to deal with it i guess...
I really dont know, but it bothers me alot.
But yeah thats just my point of veiw...

I used to think it was men who got jealous more. At least this is what I heard. Yet I am starting to see that there are more women who get jealous...or maybe they just talk about it more and are willing to admit that they have a problem.

So what do you girls get jealous about? How do you try and deal with this problem in your relationship?

Hmm...I'm talking about jealous here and not envy. Envy is wanting what others have. Jealousy is being jealous of the person that you are wit (usually) because you are afraid that their interactions with others of the same sex as you mean that he/she likes them better than you, that they might leave you, etc.....
