JEALOUS like CRAZY

so, today, TWO of my close friends got engaged...i cant help but be a TAD bit...or a LOT a bit jealous of them. man, its been driving me CRAZY, even though my BF and i are planning on getting married...and know when we want to...(which is within the next two years...hopefully Sept. 2006) it still makes me jealous to see them...and know that i wont be getting married till like FOREVER from now...haha

well theres my pathetic rant for the night...sorry to everyone!!! hehe...

I've felt that way several times, flounder - you're not alone at all! Of course, I wasn't dating at the time, but to see the circle of young adults at my church (most of whom are 4 or 5 years older than me) see other members as the person God wants them to marry was a bit disconcerting as I became one of the "minority". Now I'd be definitely less jealous given where I am now, but still a tiny bit envious given that it'll be a while before Danie and I would be able to marry.

My boyfriend and I have talked about getting married in 2006 as well, June. My birthday is June 26 and his is June 28, kind of cute!
We are not engaged. I have friends who are engaged and sometimes it just drives me crazy. I know how you feel!
I feel this guy is definitely the one for me and it's in God's plan. God's timing isn't always the same as our timing though.
When you get engaged, it is going to be the right time. This is what I keep trying to tell myself!

wow...thats sad...i mean, i know there is a lot to go into marriage, like double the work of being single, especially before you're settled down in a carreer...but how can you say it would suck...times would be rough, but no way i could say that it would suck at all, because we would have eachother, and not just as a couple, but as husband and wife.

Three friends of mine got engaged this weekend (two to each other), and another two friends are getting engaged (to each other) in a couple of weeks. I can definitely relate.

I know exactly what you are saying. Its not somthing I dwell on, but when pretty much all your friends are engaged or married, and now your B's friends are all engaged (2 couples in 1 weekend) its kinda hard *not* to think about it.

Im not typically a jealous person, but its hard when everyone around you is doing what you want to be doing (in this case getting married or engaged) and you just know that its not something that isnt happeneing in your immidiate future.

Im sure once this wave of engagements is over, I will go back to myself, and I wont really care. Until the weddings hit, then that will suck too.... *sigh*

But on the bright side, I have a wonderful boyfriend whom I am completely head over heals for, and he is head over heals for me.

Oh trust me, I know how that is! A lot of my friends are getting married and I have to wait. It can be really hard at times. Also, most of my friends aren't in long distance relationships. It is so hard because I rarely get to see my fiance. I see them snuggling or kissing or whatever and I miss Clay so much!

yeah, i feel you...same with me too...w/ the LDR...and its hard to see couples in town and not be like....DANG i wish he was here...

and i also feel the same as SOTF...its not really a big deal to me, but when its happening all around you...its hard not to be like...i wish we were in that situation...but i also know that he loves me more than anything, and i love him, so i will try to patiently await Gods perfect timing
