I am more into contemporary or smooth jazz. Some of my favorites are Earl Klugh, Norman Brown, Mike Phillips, Pam Williams, and Walter Beasley

For me the very best and most wildest piece of jazz worth listening to for a full 8 minutes is Louis Prima's SING, SING, SING (with a swing), played by Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa, and Harry James. It will never be surpassed this side of heaven. It was and is the very best of the best.

IMO the kings of avant jazz are Medeski, Martin & Wood.

I absolutely love Jazz, although I'm not to keen on the old stuff. Miles, Coltrane, Hancock are all in my collection. I am more inclined to listen to Jazz/Funk and Rare Groove (70s soul) which I love with such a passion

I enjoy listening to: George Duke, McCoy Tyner, Keiko Matsui, Jessica Williams, Brad Mel.(spelling?). I enjoy lots of different artists, especially the ones who play crazy stuff outside of the normal jazz sound.
