  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I hope this is the right place to post this question. I am really baffled and dont know what to do  . I hope there are some computer whizzes who may be able to help me :help:

Ok, so here is the issue. Last night I went to Trend Micro Housecall and did an online virus scan. TM detected 4 infected files(trojans, spyware/adware/malware etc.) Which were non cleanable. TM then redirected me to another page of instructions on how to manually get rid of them by editing the registry on my computer. I followed all instructs and deleted only those files and troublemakers on my PC. I rescanned and problem solved. Viruses all gone.

New Problem: I use MSN Groups alot and have my own group. I tried replying to messages which requires javascript to load a reply applet, but only it wont load. I tried going to yahoo games, same thing.

I clicked on help and did all things instucted...made sure java was enabled...edited the security settings et all. I even have my pop up blocker turned off or set to where I allow pop up from MSN groups. Nothing is working for me. So now I am left with the question: Do I need to download javascript again? If so, does anyone know of any trusted sites to download from.

Also, my friend says I may need to do a system recovery. What would evryone suggest. Right now I am open for suggestions and will appreciate any and all. Thank you for reading my book  lol :D

You can redownload the Java utilities here, that might resolve your problem.

I believe the system recovery utility for XP is located in Control Panel. You will have to forgive my vagueness as I am not in front of my XP machine to provide the exact steps.

In XP, the system recovery can be accessed by going to Start>Accessories>System Tools
