Is there any Democratic leader a "conservative" would not consider horrible?

Probably not but I would add that Nancy Pelosi and her ilk are pretty much at the opposite end of the spectrum regarding the Laws of God as related to society. Lots of people will claim that the democrats are for the "poor and helpless" (not really an accurate assessment) but many dubious religious cults regularly engage in honorable charity work and lets not forget Al Capone ran three soup kitchens to every one government funded one.

I think if we are looking at Democrats that Republicans respect you can look at people like Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller.

It is just often hard to respect people who trample on the constitution and pretend they are the guardians of it while tking away our second amendment.

I wouldn't call Nancy Pelosi a "horrible woman". I would say that she is blinded by foolish ambition, sin and basically "doing what is right in her own eyes".

Bush did what was right in his eyes.

In other word self-serving opportunists who only found the courage of their convictions after it would no longer harm them financially.

Miller literally took millions in campaign aid from the DNC and never said a word until he was out of office. Lieberman did the same and never said a word until he lost the Dem primary. If those are qualities that you respect then you and I have very different standards for respect.

And Bush will pay for his misdeeds just as Pelosi and her kind will for theirs. I like how you automatically jump to the conclusion that I am a Bush supporter.

What planet do you live on?

Where did I say you were a Bush supporter?

My point is simple, people generally do what they think is right.

I was originally going to use Stalin as an example but decided against it.

Nancy Pelosi is probably the most duplicitous politician in office currently, by a long shot. I especially dislike her because she is a Catholic, yet she is as deceitful there as she is with everything else. Everything she does seems to be calculated to look good for the public (as long as it doesn't, you know, inconvenience her or force her to make any tough decisions or get in the way of what she wanted to do in the first place,) but she has so little experience with actual sincerity that it all feels fake anyway.

It appears unfortunately that I live in the same planet as yourself.
It was easily inferred from your comment regarding mine about Pelosi that you wanted to stick in a barb about Bush that you assumed I would be irked by. Surprise! I think Bush was a crappy president also!

Allow me to hold your hand and walk you thru my point.

I wouldn't call Nancy Pelosi a "horrible woman". I would say that she is blinded by foolish ambition, sin and basically "doing what is right in her own eyes".

Saying that she's doing what is right in her own eyes is a null point because EVERYBODY does what is right in their own eyes. It wasn't a shot at you.

Get it?

The article said:
"It's a disgrace," said Cafferty. "This nation is hurting, but Nancy Pelosi can use three military jets for a December trip to Copenhagen, and then refuse to answer any questions about it."

This is a complete non-issue.

It's false to suggest that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's use of a military jet for transportation was unprecedented. In fact, following the September 11 terrorist attacks, the House sergeant-at-arms, the Defense Department, and the White House under Bush agreed that military planes should be made available to the speaker of the House for national security reasons, and the first speaker to use such a plane was Dennis Hastert (R-IL) in 2001.

The pople that rant and rave about this don't even know the speaker of the house is 3rd in line for the presidency after the vice president, so one would assume (like the Bush administration did) that they would need military escort.
