Hello dear citizens of the world. which I share it with.
I've got no religion right now, I'm agnostic as you might have noticed by my name.
I've got a few questions I would like to get answered by you.

1. Why was I lead into so much pain, am I borned cursed?

2. Why is society thriving on selfishness and what should be done about it?

3. a) Does God have a plan for me as non christian aswell?
b) If so should I follow my heart of what I truly believe is my purpose?

I've been told this part of the forum can be used to ask you questions.

I have very serious objection to your name! :D not that I don't like it but that I doesn't make sense, but that's for another time. I won't rant about the proper use of the words atheist and agnostic.

1. I don't know and no, I don't believe in curses.
2. Because it's easy to be selfish, very hard to not be. There has always been a balance of good and bad and the good have always fought the hard fight to preserve the world. Sorta like the Rangers in Lord of the Rings fighting long and silent and unrewarded to protect middle earth from the Dark Lord's evil. Nothing can be done about it, it will be an ever waging conflict.

3. I believe God plans to meet you and show himself to you.
4. Yes, always follow your heart. Be as good and honorable as you can be, God will not frown upon your good efforts. My God would not meet out evil in return for goodness. Good is still Good.

If you cannot believe that God exists then you cannot and he knows that, God does not hate you for that and he is not going to punish you for it and for all your efforts to be good during that. I believe that he will honor your good efforts and that one day if you meet him and see then things will change.

Man is in a fallen state from the original state that God had created him in.

Because the first man (Adam) God created with freewill, chose a lie over God's warning
and disobeyed God, even after God said that man would die if he disobeyed, man still chose the lie.

So this world has fallen from its original state and men now have the nature
of the one who deceived man in the beginning and this deceivers name is the devil or satan.

Who you serve, listen to or obey is the one who will be your master so because the first man
chose to believe the lie of the devil, all who are born after Adam are enslaved to
the devil who is now the ruler of this fallen earth.

God did not abandon men but from the beginning He sought to give those
individuals who would turn away from the devil and back to Him, His
protection from the devil and hope for redemption that would come in
the messiah or savior that God would send into the world.

You see from the very beginning God had a plan for redemption for man.

God knew that man would be enticed and believe the lie of the devil so He
had a plan ready for the redemption of man in Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:19
19 For just as by one man’s (Adam the first man) disobedience the many were constituted sinners (born after Adam's fallen nature), so by one Man’s (Jesus Christ the son of God) obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him).

If you are interested in Christianity why don't you read the gospel of John in the Amplified version so that you can understand who Jesus is and what His mission from God was.

Here is the simplest form of God's message to man from His chosen and only begotten son, Jesus Christ.
John 3
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world (people) that He [even] gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]

Hope this helps....

1. Why was I lead into so much pain, am I borned cursed?
Join the club...but seriously... I don't believe in curses either.

2. Why is society thriving on selfishness and what should be done about it?
We are all inherently selfish. What do we do about it? Die to self. Follow God's way and realize that in His love He knows what is best for us; what is the right way. Not everyone can get on board with this but it truly is freedom. Loving your fellow man happens when you die to your selfish desires.

3. a) Does God have a plan for me as non christian aswell?
God doesn't care if you are an agnostic, he loves the heck out of you. He listens to your prayers. He's with you always. Unbelievers don't offend him.

b) If so should I follow my heart of what I truly believe is my purpose?
which is....?

Jesus is the only way to His Father.

Many claim other ways to other God's but there is only one
way the the Father and God of Jesus Christ and that is through
the way God has given is which is through faith or trust in Jesus Christ.

No one can be good enough to earn God's salvation and eternal life.

All men are guilty before God and all must die.

Only in Jesus Christ can we be pardoned and inherit eternal life.

This fallen world will pass away and after it God will recreate a new
heaven and earth without the devil, sin and evil and those who trust in Christ
will live in this new kingdom that God will create for those that rejected
the lie and believe in Jesus Christ as their only means and hope for
a pardon for their sins and eternal life.

If you want to come to the Father of Jesus Christ, you must come through Jesus Christ by
believing that He is the son of His Father who is God and that by your faith in Christ's teachings,
words, death for your sins and resurrection from the grave, you can be pardoned from sin and
inherit eternal life.

John 14:6 Jesus speaking
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

John 5:24 Jesus speaking
I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words [who listens to My message] and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life. And he does not come into judgment [does not incur sentence of judgment, will not come under condemnation], but he has already passed over out of death into life.

John 6:47 Jesus speaking
I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.

If you want to be with God the Father of Jesus, you must come the way
the God has chosen which is through Jesus Christ.

You can not be good enough to earn this salvation from God but
it come by faith and trust that Jesus Christ is not a liar and that He
was sent by His Father to show us all the way to forgiveness and eternal life.

1. Why was I lead into so much pain, am I borned cursed?
No, I dont believe you were born cursed.

Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Joh 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

2. Why is society thriving on selfishness and what should be done about it?
Psa 73:1 A Psalm of Asaph. Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Psa 73:2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped.
Psa 73:3 For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Psa 73:4 For they have no pangs until death; their bodies are fat and sleek.
Psa 73:5 They are not in trouble as others are; they are not stricken like the rest of mankind.
Psa 73:6 Therefore pride is their necklace; violence covers them as a garment.
Psa 73:7 Their eyes swell out through fatness; their hearts overflow with follies.
Psa 73:8 They scoff and speak with malice; loftily they threaten oppression.
Psa 73:9 They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongue struts through the earth.
Psa 73:10 Therefore his people turn back to them, and find no fault in them.
Psa 73:11 And they say, "How can God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?"
Psa 73:12 Behold, these are the wicked; always at ease, they increase in riches.
Psa 73:13 All in vain have I kept my heart clean and washed my hands in innocence.
Psa 73:14 For all the day long I have been stricken and rebuked every morning.
Psa 73:15 If I had said, "I will speak thus," I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Psa 73:16 But when I thought how to understand this, it seemed to me a wearisome task,
Psa 73:17 until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end.
Psa 73:18 Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin.
Psa 73:19 How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors!
Psa 73:20 Like a dream when one awakes, O Lord, when you rouse yourself, you despise them as phantoms.
Psa 73:21 When my soul was embittered, when I was pricked in heart,
Psa 73:22 I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you.
Psa 73:23 Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand.
Psa 73:24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.
Psa 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.
Psa 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psa 73:27 For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you.
Psa 73:28 But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.

3. a) Does God have a plan for me as non christian aswell
Gods plan is for you to come to him.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

b) If so should I follow my heart of what I truly believe is my purpose
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jesus Christ broke off all the curses that came from the fall of man.
Jesus Christ took on Himself the curses so that we could be blessed.

Galatians 3:13
Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified);

Jesus Christ is God's remedy for all that is wrong in this world.
Jesus Christ is the doorway to the real future God has planned for
all those who will turn from lies and believe that Christ is telling the truth.

hi Agnostic157, thank you for enquiring, here is my 2 cents... I hope it helps.

1. Why was I lead into so much pain, am I borned cursed?
In the beginning when God created the heaven and earth, and the first two people, Adam and Eve, there were no pain. Until Adam and Eve disobeyed God and they were separated from Him... pain came. We are the offspring of Adam and Eve, and we live in a world of pain. God cannot accept us because of the sin in our lives, we all are worthy of death... but He really loves us and wants us to be back in a relationship with Him, so He sent His only Son, Jesus (who also created the heavens, earth, Adam and Eve), to take our place and died for us, this we see the evidence of the Cross... Jesus took on our curse that was part of our inheritance from Adam and Eve... if we accept the love of God in Jesus, He will wash away our sins and we bcome clean in His eyes, and He will organise our future and we trust Him because He is Love and All-Knowing. You have nothing to lose, but eternity to gain when you accept His gift in Jesus. If you reject His Son, you are eternally lost, as always will be. His hand is extended to you in love, through Jesus' sacrifical death in your place, that we see the evidence when we see the Cross which is everywhere in all churches around us.

2. Why is society thriving on selfishness and what should be done about it?
Society is thriving on selfishness because it is the natural outcome of being separated from God and not accepting Jesus to be Lord of their life. It is a natural outcome of what happened when Adam and Eve disobeyed God many years ago.

3. a) Does God have a plan for me as non christian aswell?
Yes, His plan is already shared to everywhere... you see the Cross, you see His plan for you. If you accept the message of the Cross personally, then He can do more with your life and you will be living the life that you were meant to live.
b) If so should I follow my heart of what I truly believe is my purpose?
He will change our desires to His desire, if we let Him, and His ways are much more better than our ways. His way is the way of true peace and joy.

Blessed be His name.

I've been told this part of the forum can be used to ask you questions.

Mr Agnostic,

Some people (innocent people) may have had generational curses or whatever around them because of what their parents, or grandparents or great grandparents have done. You may not know about it, you may not have a clue or an idea but some people do carry that around and only JESUS breaks such power of the enemy over people's lives. I dont know about you but that was a general overview of what could or sometimes occur that people are unaware of.

There;'s a always consequences of sins, whether people believe it or not. What goes around does come around. No one can sow evil and expect to reap good. Some people's parents (or grandparents or greats) have sowed evil and the consequences could be meted out on their children (or grand or greats)

Your second question is a good question and it even correlates with answer to your 3rd question . There is so MUCH selfishness in the world, so much evil, so much goes on that makes Christ weep for humanity. God did not intend for things to be so bad. The first fall of man caused the evil that dwells among man. Society thrives on selfishness, and it will get worse.

As the Bible has prophesied (and not one of the words in the Bible shall fall away without accomplishing its intent because its the word of GOD), it will get worse so the best way to remain in the world whilst NOT of this world is to go to CHRIST. His yoke is very easy and His burdens are ever so light. He is the only one that can give you joy, peace (that surpasses your own knowledge), abundance and eternal Salvation.

If you dont ask, you wont hear. You may be agnostic but I believe God is wanting to reach out to you, otherwise you would never come on a Christian forum to start with, so God does NOT want you to remain in the dark anymore. He does not want you to not know the difference between right and wrong. God wants you TO KNOW that only HE can help you in this selfish world and through JESUS CHRIST alone can you find love, peace and everlasting LOVE.

We as Christians have no other purpose being Christians BUT to preach the love of Christ. We are not called to tell agnostics and atheists to accept the way they are. God loves everyone AND HE WANTS everyone to know Him intimately and deeply, and for everyone to COME to know His SON, JESUS CHRIST through whom we have redemption and Salvation.

Jesus is sweet. This is why we follow Him, obey HIM and always lean on Him. He has a plan and purpose for you. A very good plan indeed for your life and future. It doesn't matter where you started off from. He is always ready and willing to accept and to embrace you when you come to Him. I believe you came here on a purpose, and its something to ponder on. GOD LOVES YOU indeed and He wants you to join the family so that He can show you how much He loves you indeed.

When you are in between, not of christ and not of the enemy, its easier for the enemy to get to you, to deceive you and to confuse you. Its easier for some things to happen to you that you do not want. BUT if you stand for Christ and know and believe that you belong to Him. HE HAS A SEAL of ownership on you, His Spirit (Holy Spirit) will live in you, and no power can mess with you just like that.

I will conclude with this again that I believe in my heart that God wants you to come to Him, to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Ask Him to come into your life, and trust Him. He will change your life and bring your true life's purpose to existence.

Goodluck.

Jer 31:29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.
Jer 31:30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Joh 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

the curse is just witchery, the important is the creeds which represent the curses to be not accepted/followed, as regards the selfishness, it is because of the system of spiritual/religious iniquity also known as (the) "sin" in the Bible

Matthew 24:11-12 "And many false prophets(ie and many unrighteous spiritual servants/workers) shall rise, and shall deceive(also: shall seduce) many. And because iniquity(ie and because the iniquity in the faith) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."

Blessings

So what is your reason?

What kind of pain are you talking about? Physical pain? Emotional pain? Relationship pain?

I've been through all of these, and continue to suffer in chronic pain, but if anything, it draws me closer to faith and the Lord.

1. Why was I lead into so much pain, am I borned cursed?

Not in the sense you mean. Ezekiel and the Jeremiah passage quoted above are clear that people are only guilty of their own sins. You don't inherit anyone else's guilt (though original sin says that we all have a human nature that is flawed). So no, you aren't cursed.

On the other hand, what people do affects other people. You don't say what kind of pain. This isn't true of all pain (particularly pain due to problems with your body), but problems in life can certainly be the result of bad decisions others have made, just as your own bad choices can affects others. But cursed? No.

2. Why is society thriving on selfishness and what should be done about it?

Why? Original sin.

I'd say there are at least two reasonable responses.

1. Establish law and other structures to limit the damage of one person's corruption.

2. Practice unselfishness, and encourage and band together with others who do the same.

3. a) Does God have a plan for me as non christian aswell?
b) If so should I follow my heart of what I truly believe is my purpose?

a. Of course God would like you to love him. But I believe God will in some manner recognize anyone who is follows the good. Many Christians believe that doing so can be in some cases a result of the presence of the Holy Spirit, even if you don't realize it, and that non-Christians can be saved. Not everyone agrees with that, of course, but my sense is that it's actually a majority (although not a majority in CF).

b. Yes. The best anyone can do is follow good as they understand it. In your case we all hope and pray that doing so will eventually lead you to God.

Ag,

There was a guy in the Bible whose story might be like yours. You may have heard of him. It's a very brief passage:

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked. -1Chr 4.9-11

Pain is nothing new. All of creation groans with it. This is not how God intended it to be, He created all things "good", but satan rebelled and man rebelled with him. Consequently the entire world is under a curse, essentially the curse of separation from God.

Does God have a plan for you? He certainly does. He let man go his own way, but He never abandoned man. In the fullness of time the Son of God became one of us in order to take our sin to Himself and pay the price of our redemption. God loves you so much that He willingly submitted to death by torture for your sake.

His plan is to reconcile you back to Himself. He wants you with Him, to enjoy bliss for eternity. It all begins by trusting Christ for salvation and then submitting to his lordship in your heart and life. God's will for you is only good, but it must begin by seeking Him diligently, with a heart willing to accept what He shows you (John 7.17).

Should you follow your heart? Yes and no. the Bible tells us the heart is desperately wicked. It is unreliable. And yet the heart is where it all happens. The answer is to seek God with all your soul, all your strength, all of you - mind, will and emotions. That way you will retain executive control over yourself, so you won't become enslaved to the passions of the heart, but at the same time the Lord will be free to work in your heart to lead you in the way you should go. This is a process that may be difficult at times, and especially at first, but we do adapt and grow into it.

If you do as Jabez, God will enlarge your "borders" just as He did for him. It may not be monetary wealth or physical blessing – though it could be – but it will be a spiritual wellbeing that all the riches of the world cannot give. It's all just a sincere prayer away.

First of all I want to thank you all for taking your time answering my question, it shall not be in vain and I'll read what you all wrote on it.
I might private message someone further, thanks!

As I wrote in my introduction I'm a philosopher, my truth is gradually changing.
For the better I belive.
I'm intressted in you christian folks for 2 reasons, 1. We are pretty similar. 2. I'm intressted because you've got a truth you do not question.

I've been through all of these, and continue to suffer in chronic pain, but if anything, it draws me closer to faith and the Lord.

The pain is the caused by my heart and brain.
My understanding of what I see all around me, I do not agree with.
This has pushed me outside of society, by choise.
I wish not to adapt back to what I do not agree with.
I think life itself, its purpose, its not what I see all around me.
Depression and panic attacks, docters calls it.

Yesterday I felt something that I dont think I've felt before.
My shoulders is pretty much always under heavy preasure, I pretty much never have a peace of mind but yesterday just before I fell asleep I felt total calmness.
It was like a cold breeze inside of me, washing me over with calmness.
I couldnt think about stuff I normaly do, I was just amazed by the feeling.

Is this according to you God? If so why he decided to focus on me at this time?

Kind Regards / Agnostic157
