Alas. The only thing I know of that put out this claim... is a 1990s TV show that I never watched... And a series of novels by the late Douglas Adams.
There was never an overarching umbrella of co-ordination between Rock and roll music, Environmental stewardship, and the rise of Buddhism in America.
The three things were entirely separate. That they emerged at the same time, is a matter of coincidence.

I've never once seen you pretend to even act humbled. And no, evolution is not holy BECAUSE IT'S NOT A REGLIGION OR A DEITY!!!

It has many of the same qualities as a religion. But not a formal one. The leaders are allowed to change and to legitimatize themselves. It's run as a very informal democracy with no rules over who gets to be voted in or out. The participants love that there are no rules. Anyone gets to declare what is truth or not.
