Yes they treat them differently, in that man is the image of God, man is fallen, man is redeemed through the blood of Christ, none of this affects man being a nephesh. He doesn't stop being called a nephesh just because he is the Image of God.Do the SCRIPTURES treat men and animals as different or equals?
Pigs are nephesh yet they (according to the Torah) are not food, why make the same mistake with humans? Did Jesus die for all nephesh, or for all adam?Man is food and Jesus died for oxen?
