This little Texas Spiny is usually hanging around somewhere in my garden. Today, it was a scorcher, and he hid out on a branch of the pine tree in the shade, trying to keep cool.

Nice Pic! .. all this time .. never read under you pic.. haha made me laugh.. I like it!.. does it get humid there? I remember going into Oklahoma (family was born there) and wow my arm got so sticky and some bug that was SO LOUD.. and when I asked people no lie they said "what sound?" HAHA

Yes, it can get humid here. But in high summer, it's hot and dry. Climate change has slightly shifted the prevailing winds in North Texas, so the temps are rising a bit, and it's wetter than it used to be. August is no fun at all.
