In the past I was drilled in with we are still saved by the blood of Jesus no matter how lawlessly we live. This hyper grace stuff. I do believe we are saved by grace, but that doesn't give us a license to abuse it.
As I was told by a friend.
John you MUST get clear on this: Holiness of living is not an option but a commandment for the truly born again, the redeemed, those who have been regenerated: Jesus said, "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" Matthew 6:46
So we cannot have just faith, can we?
Would it be safe to believe we are saved by trusting in Jesus as Lord and Savior and what he did for us. Then live a life of Holiness instead of sin?
Because what if we take that grace for granted? I don't think the outcome will be pleasant.
I have took the Grace for granted on occasion, and the sin is hurting the relationship with the Lord. I fear of losing it for good if I continue sin even when the Lord freed me from it in the first place.
Sin is not worth it.
