It's Getting Difficult,...

At 36 years old and the father or two wonderful children, I find it harder then ever to find any goodness or decency in humanity. In spite of what I've been lead to believe through my own research and what I been taught, this is not our Fathers world. Satan owns this one, thousands of years of continued evil and unjust creatures have ruled this cursed land with an iron grip, I just can't seem to find answers of resolve from the scriptures anymore, there are just far to many gaps and symbolism to make any sense. Its like this is a time of a deaf ear from the Lord, all the madness and chaos and,..............silence. All the evil things that are done to children and the innocent, over the entire course of mankind, human sacrifice and so on, what the leader of this country is trying to do to this entire nation, it's sickening, (The USA) is this the new supposed "Normal" our children are just gonna be taught this garbage in school and the loving Christian parent has to take a backseat to it all? I'm afraid my faith is swaying and guess this would be a sort of reaching out. Any kind words of encouragement or tender morsels of scripture that maybe I have overlooked because my table is bare right now, would be appreciated.

This isn't Satan's world, it is Jesus'. He dethroned Satan at the cross, and well even beforehand, Satan must obey God because God is much greater than Satan. Satan is running around in the time he has left, but God hasn't abandoned anyone. He may punish and rebuke, but He loves mercy, if His people would set their lives to seek His face and wait on Him, He will again renew our countries and societies and have mercy on us.
Even if God has set His face against the downfall of our countries and societies, He will gather His children under His wings.

Remember the world that is to come, where all evil and sin will be gone, and then endure with the hope of the coming of Christ.

Honestly, with the exception of the beautiful and awe inspiring natural world, from what I've been seeing as of late, you would have to completely subtract the human race from the entire equation to see anything in reflection of God. I have had to completely withdraw from and forbid the news and media headlines as well as the simplest of television shows in my home due to horrible and gruesome truths of what people do and are capable of. I live in a quiet decent neighborhood, but I fear for my children each and every day, women murdered in a neighborhood a mile away last week. I am also a Gun toting, God fearing Christian and as of the past few months I have remained on high alert, things only seem to be getting worse. I understand that our souls are kept safely under the wings of the father and I know this to be ture, but, our flesh down here has been thrown to the wolves and we are fair game, criminals are afoot by the dozen, just an all to eye opening reality I've come to here lately, every word the truth.

Praying for you asknbelieve. Life is indeed difficult, and there is so much injustice, hatred, and evil in the world. I don't let this get me down because we all must rise above and overcome sin and evil. You have two wonderful children and I think you can start by recognizing the good, pure, and beautiful in your life AND in Jesus' teachings. One of my favorite bible quotes is: "All that is pure, all that is good, all that is righteous; think ye on these things." My philosophy is to lead a simple, God-centered life, and love and help those in need. Just one small act daily will certainly be a start in overcoming the sometimes horrible conditions we witness. Blessings to you and your family. Love IS the answer.

Hold tight to your faith. Without your faith and teaching to your children, they will be lost in this world.
Yes, this world is filled with evil. Satan rules this earth as the prince of the darkness. When Christ died upon the cross, free will to accept or deny Christ was given to man. With that free will, some people commit atrocities where many innocent will be harmed or killed. It hurts to know that.

We know how things will turn out. Satan loses and God wins. As a retired teacher, I know what is taught in our schools and know more will be taught to undermine Christ. God is with us. He doesn't promise to protect us physically, but spiritually. God is concerned about the spirit and soul of man, not the physical body as much as we wish he was concerned about or bodies too. he promised he would not put more on us than we could bear and would give us a way out. Believe on God's promises.

Hold tight and show your children the love of God in your life. They will remember.

I hear you. I make myself remember that this life is over in the blink of an eye. Picture a thousand years from now... a million years from now... a trillion years from now and so on. When your in heaven you will not be looking back thinking how much this life sucked. I think of when I was a little boy and I had to get a needle. It was like the end of the world for me, knowing that one or two seconds of pain from the needle would be something I could not escape. I would panic for weeks before that day came. Now when I look back on it I hardly remember it and I know that one or two seconds of pain over the span of 38 years was not worth the stress I caused myself for the weeks that was leading up to the needle. Satan does have a hold on this world, it is his playground. He knows his end is coming and he wants to take as many people as he can with him. He knows our lives are here and gone in a split second over time and he knows we often do not think about that. It is sad to see all the evil in this world and it is sad to see good people and children suffer. But those who suffer because they choose to follow God know that after this short life they have an eternity to spend with the Lord and they never have to feel pain, be tempted by Satan or see evil ever again, and the second they get to heaven the hardships they had in this life will be even less of a thought than that 2 second needle we had to endure when we were children as we look back on it now.
As far as your children going to school, you can always home school.

Dear asknbelieve. Many things are difficult, but there are still more good things in this world, and also decent men and women. Satan wants us to give up and join the unbelieving crowd. Jesus told a Lawyer in Matthew 22: 35-40:
" The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Then Jesus states this great truth: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God wants our Love, freely given and NO
conditions tagged on. A Christian`s weapon is Love, it overcomes all enmity
and all wrong behaviour.
Jesus will give us His Love and Joy, and the Holy Spirit will empower us with His Love, also. Jesus told us to " Ask and ye will receive," then we thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour: all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends. We keep asking God and thanking God, and then sharing all Love and Joy with all around us. God will see our efforts, and God will Bless us. God will also know: we are Loving God, because we are following God`s Commandments to Love and Care.
When things are becoming difficult, we pick up our weapon, and show the world on which side we are, we are representatives of God our Heavenly Father. Let the world notice, and let us be sign-posts for God and Jesus.
Jesus will help and guide us, JESUS IS THE WAY. With God on our side, who or what can be against us? Satan and all his followers will flee from Love and

We are to be the salt and light, Jesus has told us. That means we are to be the preservative in a decaying world. We are to stand in faith for those things that are true. We are to be the light in a dark world to show those that are lost the way to Christ. We live in a decaying and dark world because of sin. Salt doesn't stop decay, it just slows it down. We do need to hear God's word as He tells us in the last days even the church will fall away. It falls away when they no longer put their faith in our Savior Jesus Christ and no longer honor His word by allowing it to be living and active in their everyday lives. We must stand firm in our faith no matter the cost. We stand firm together not alone.

A friend told me to think of myself as a gold nugget. I was filled with impurities and God had to place me in the fire to burn the impurities out because I was not pure gold yet. That analogy helped me. Now when I have problems, I think of that nugget and realize I am not what God wants me to be yet... so I am back in the fire to burn the impurities out.

I understand your dilemma. If we only had this world to look at, we'd be in deep trouble. But there is a bright light to which we need to look.

I have seen a news item on Australian TV’s ‘60 Minutes’ program about Nick Vujicic who was born without legs and arms from tetra-amelia syndrome, 4 December 1982. For limbs, he has only what he calls a chicken leg of a foot.

However, I was introduced to his victorious Christian testimony in this YouTube video, God is sufficient (it has German subtitles but all of the talking is in English). Enjoy! And praise God for the opportunities He gives, no matter what the disability in life.

Here is an amazing story with amazing apologetic impact. My trials and difficulties, three bouts of rheumatic fever as a child and 4 mitral valve surgeries as an adult, are trivial compared with this man’s, but his testimony for Christ is amazing. His God is sufficient for him to have a victorious life in the midst of severe disabilities.

Talk about trials, but he's victorious in the midst.

We must never forget the condition of all of humanity without Christ: The depravity of all human beings is not an incidental matter. It is fundamental to a correct view of what is happening in people and society. This issue is not up to my opinion or yours of the supposed goodness or badness of humanity. This world was created by the Almighty, Sovereign God. He wrote the laws. In his view, all are sinners needing a Saviour; not one is good (Romans 3:23; 6:23).

Read the newspapers, watch TV, browse the Internet, and it becomes evident that all are sinners. But I have met few secularists who are prepared to nail that as the diagnosis. That is not surprising when they reject the light from Scripture.

There are times when we need to protect our children from the gruesome facts of depravity that are portrayed on the mass media. However, eventually they will be exposed to it. We need to carefully prepare them for this.

Before the good news of the Gospel makes sense, we need the bad news of human depravity to let people know they need a Saviour who changes people from the inside out.
