Yeah, that was pretty dissapointing

and I found some racism by referees also..towards Asians (Unlike last World Cup)

That's strange, I never heard any of the coaches or players complaining about racism.

Japan's Nakata knew that Japan was simply outplayed and wasn't good enough. I also heard that Zico was blamed for not training well enough to help Japan's players overcome their personal weaknesses by playing more of a team game, but instead encouraged individual skills, which Japan's players still lack.

I know the Iranian coach was pretty upset at his defence, I don't blame him. The Iranian football asociation however blamed the coach and fired him. I guess it was easier for them to put the blame on their foreign coach. Oh well, I guess that's okay if they want to suck at the next world cup

I don't know what the S. Korean team had to say.

And for the Saudi's, well they're called the whipping boys, and I think they lived up to their expecations

FIFA tried not using penalty kicks. What happened was that the game dragged on and on, the players were even more tired and played less, and the television channels complained because they were'nt geting payed for the extra time.

Tried it, rejected it, returned to penalty kicks.

France definetely played better in the second half, they made Italy look like Ukraine (apologies to any Ukrainian fans) But I say Italy deserved to win because of the penalty kick France got at the beginning. The video replays show that the guy was not fouled

That is true, france did not deserve the first penalty kick, but in the second half, there was a penalty shot missed out by france, The video cleary showed that there was a penalty there. But it was ignored. So all in all it evens things out. I still think that if Patrick Vierra, and Zidane stayed in the game, they would have won the cup. At the second part of the second half, the Italian team looked like zombies

..and to be honest, I wasn't super impressed with Italian play this entire World Cup. I've never liked the way they play and was seriously hoping France win. To be honest, I found myself rooting for Germany, and I NEVER root for Germany. Now, they, in my opnion, actually played well.

Anyways, the 'buzz' around most sports news outlets is that Materazzi (who is racist) either said something about Zizous heritage and islamic beliefs or something about his sick mother, whatever he said Materazzi is absolutely insane and should be banned from football.

I agree that Michael's comment was a little hard to understand but I think that the ballots were counted after the game this year.... although I could be wrong.

The ballots were open until after the finals, so there is no way of determining how many votes were cast before and after the incident.
