I wasn't going to add to the thread, but I just can't help myself.
I get the impression that very few respondents to this thread have actually been to a non-Catholic church service.
You speak of them in a condescending tone and ridicule them for their honest, faithful and passionate love for Christ. I think this is very sad.
Personally I attend many churches and believe that Christ is everywhere and not aligned to any one group of worshipers, but to all. No matter where I attend, it doesn't shake my faith, change my view of God, Christ or his message. God is not an institution he is God.
If everyone agrees that we are all Christians, they why are some people so afraid to attend a Church which is not their regular one. Christ is the same. To think and speak with division, is simply to perpetuate the "them and us" close-minded mentality.
I believe that Jesus' message is inculsive, no elitist.
