  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello, I need advice on what to pray or what to do in this situation. I have a hard enough time with distractions as is when concerning my walk with Christ, but recently I've developed a crush on a guy who's not only a born again Christian...but has a girlfriend. So now, not only am I distracted, I'm sinning in the process (covetness).

How do I overcome this obstacle?

I guess the best thing to do would be to accept it and try and see this guy as a friend. I think the feelings you have for him will go away once your emotions process that fact.

And don't beat yourself up over coveting. A crush isn't necessarily like that unless you make up a scheme for his current girlfriend to break up with him.

You are not sinning in simply having a crush on someone, Hannah. Grandvizer is right; only if you were to start being manipulative in order to win him over from someone who already has him in some way would you then be in the wrong.
