A carpet bombing operation by the US killed tens of thousands. Israel has killed over 11,000 so far and the toll is rising fast. So I see that as similar indiscreet attacking of civilians. Technically we would use another word, but to get the idea across, using the phrase akin to carpet bombing suffices. Add to that TARGETING apartment buildings, fleeing convoys, hospitals, and displacing a major population, and cutting of water and necessities, and the only word that fits is TERRORISM.

Israel has been under attack for years and then suffered the murder of 1200 of it's civilians by the same terrorist organization and then went to war against them. These are the things that happen when trying to defeat the enemy. Good countries try to prevent civilian losses which is what Israel did. The problem for the IDF here is that an attack on the hospital can only be justified if Hamas were using the hospital at the time of the Israeli attack and the hospital has been hit by the Israelis e.g.

Yes. Targeting people is a crime as far as I am concerned. But the current terrorism in Gaza shows a level of cruelty that stands out as extreme in the targeting civilians that targets hospitals and ambulances and children and fleeing convoys etc.Should those same rules have been applied in WWII when allied forces were bombing German and Japanese cities?
