Not surprised at all..I wonder if the Christians who are excited about LeeD's vision believe it is in line with the Jesus of the bible and his vision..

Evidently not all of them.

Lee's top dog and lead advisor Mnphysicist (Ron) just stepped down from his position on staff. Other than Lee, there was nobody else who outranked Ron. He was a founding member of CF's staff.

I have no idea why he quit, but the truth is that CF is losing staff at an alarming rate. Some have quit. Others have been fired.

It would seem that not everybody is on board for the new direction of CF.

There's still a lot of truly good people still on staff, so I do not think that CF is in any sort of emergency situation.

But if the losses keep mounting, and the people who really care about our members keep leaving, there will be some real problems.

The best thing we can do right now is to keep our forum running smoothly from within. If we can avoid violations and give our mods the chance they need to address the other problems, we can make their lives a little easier.

WWMC does not have a track record as a problem area, and much of that is due to our kind and accepting nature.

We need to keep it up, for the sake of the remaining staff.

God bless.

I've been praying for God's will for CF's future, whatever it may be. LeeD may own the site, but I'm sure he would agree with me that God should be the head of it.

I think LeeD would agree with that.

But, you can take 100 different Christians and ask them to run sites that align them with their best understanding of God's will, and you'll end up with 100 very different sites.

So, what we have here is one person's take on what would be the best Christian site. When you add in the facts that members have no say in the site's direction, and all forms of petition are against the rules, you end up with a pretty narrow view of things.

It would be nice if we were allowed to help guide CF's direction, but I'm afraid that we're moving farther away from that ever happening.

A total lack of member input would be disturbing. :( I hope that isn't how it's going to be.

It's already that way. 100%. Members have had no say now for quite some time. We used to be able to help form our own Forum Specific Guidelines, choose our own moderators, etc. That's been gone for at least the entire time I was on staff.

My guess is that the Adventists are the next to get swept away.

You know, I've always been bewildered at the lack of respect Adventists get among the more orthodox/fundamentalist Christians. If it wasn't for Adventists like Ellen White and George McCready Price, the resurrection of young Earth creationism in the mid-19th century probably would not have occurred. Without young Earth creationism, evolution would probably be much better accepted by orthodox/fundamentalist Christianity, which many orthodox/fundamentalist Christians would view as a bad thing.

Now I'm confused. I found those exact words here

http://christianforums.com/showpost.php?p=47871385&postcount=79

but it was not LeeD who said it; it was JAS4Yeshua. I must be missing something. I know I'm not aware of everything that's going on.

There have been some very insightful things that have been said in thread, especially from DeanM, who we are missing from the WWMC staff...that hurts enough. But talking about the webmaster and his intentions will only serve to flag this forum and it does not do us any good. You can disagree with him but he is still the boss. Talking in a negative way as to his intentions or his character will only bring this forum down.

I think we have a lot invested in WWMC. I don't think that I can be any more clear.

Thanks,
Protinus

Now would be a good time to employ a saluting smiley, if there were one available. :)

I visited just long enough to learn I don't at all care for the place.

It was a pretty enjoyable discussion site a few years ago. But the environment changed.

it's called "ebb and flow"...and WWMC must be able to thrive through anything. But I am advising the WWMC members to be themselves as well...let's just not name names or talk about the management by name...k?

Prot makes a good point. We don't want this discussion shut down.

Let's excercise some restraint. I'll be the first to button my lip on specific names. I think this thread already entails the bulk of the issue anyway.

Let's not make our mods stick their necks out. They have enough on their plates as it is.

Prot, I'm sorry for fueling this discussion.

God Bless.
