  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lol .. I'm still not worried about "ISIS infiltrators" from thes syrian refugees. I am not a coward. Rememebr what happened last time ISIS tried something? two texans shot them dead. Unlike france our majority distrusts middle eastern people because of 9/11 and that gives us a better chance of them not being able to do anything to us compared to france.

Yes. Bush did ignore warnings from Richard Clarke and others who were in the Clinton administration. Three thousand dead.

In the past decade Muslim terrorists have killed less than 100 people on American soil.

In the past decade Average Americans have shot and killed over 100,000 people on American soil.

We all have a far greater chance of being killed by an American with a gun than by a Muslim terrorist.

You mean like Christianity is Christianity.

There are some people who read the Koran liberally.
There are some people who read the Koran literally.
There are some people who read the Bible liberally.
There are some people who read the Bible literally.

That's one of the problems with religion, you can interpret scripture to approve of almost any position.

Believing that god is on your side, is a powerful motivator - for good and for evil.

One of the problems with atheism is the contempt the atheist has for the religious.
Christianity didn't have to be divided by western media into two classes, radical or moderate, in order to quell the fear of American's due to the psychotically violent actions of Christians.

This thread is about Islam. Take your contempt for Christianity and make your own thread. Islam is not Christianity.

If you turn yourself against an entire culture, then you are certainly no follower of Jesus Christ. Love thy neighbor.
You don't realize that the neighbor in that passage is a reference to fellow Christians?

Proverbs 6:16-19
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

In the USA we have two new illness. Islamophobia and Islamophobiaphobia. Islamphobiaphobia is the fear of Islamophobe will destroy the world by angering the Obamagod for not allowing refugees in the country yet couldn't care less of the thousands of Mexicans killed by organized crime which bring in tons of drugs across the border.
Anyone who opposes refugees is commenting an Obamanation.

LOL, Obama-Nation ! However your point is received too. This particular phobia distracts from killerphobia.

Fan that spark. Flame starter. I take it as a forewarning when common sense national security concerns, especially in the wake of Daesh threatening America after their agents attacked Paris, are in keeping with a sworn duty to keep the nation secure from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Hi,
No, not posted to start a flame. It is understood we will do all that is necessary to "prevent" an attack here. However, this means ( 9/11 and the thousands killed) the entire Islam faith (innocents) will be persecuted too (percentage speaking) in non understanding. This thread was dedicated to the individual mind set that get there info on TV in pinpoint global activities (Brain washing as I did at one time). We as Christians did all in OP in continued trust of our representatives in foreign policy.

Here's what prompted this thread. I am in a specialty store and turn a corner and I bump into a man covered in black robes from head to toe except for his eyes. His wife (assumption) is right behind him and she too is covered in black except for her entire face . The usual excuse me's are exchanged. However, for me, my heart is racing because someone/something has put fear in my heart to a fellow human being. Thus , I prayed on this matter and ask God why am I in a world of fear my neighbor? Mainstream media is why in part combined to my own non understanding. Thus this thread . I post a lot of articles in single source to keep it simple yet in said articles one can click in-line to see their sources. You being in the Trump Oil thread now know from my post there that is not news in links provided there. Its all about source of news. I never knew we were committing such atrocities in Syria by watching mainstream= Omit. They omit. That is the biggest lie of all to brain wash in our natural "Christian Trust". Thus, the link to the thread trusting in OP. It takes time to change a mind from group thought (TV Filled) to individual thought one must read, correct? If the masses are watching the easiest source for news TV and omittence that we have been in Syria a long time and are just now being made aware of it, does it not scream, change source of our news? Re-read the Op and go to trusting thread and engage in links but especially engage in the article links for source . It starts to make sense if we look at it as we are the bad guys things start to click together. Believe me, I did not "want" to look through that lens however too many things are clicking together like... 4 and a half years in Syria compared to Russia's 3-4 months and "They" are not playen the radio concerning ISIS. Too many things make too much sense when I look through the lens of we are the bad guys.

I suppose that we can all agree to that. But OTOH, it doesn't do much for the discussion to solve a problem that doesn't exist. ;)

Depends on source of news

Islamophobia, a made up, stupid word. Just like 'homophobia' or any other 'phobia' the Left likes to label people as.

What liberals define it as: extreme fear or hatred of Islam
What it really is: the absence of obligation to support Muslims over others.

Amen. In reality Assad was voted in (Democracy Complete) yet we can not work with him thus its not democracy we seek but empire.

The truth requires TWO sides , so why don't you mention the other side of the story .That is, what you have done to bring about the situation ; how you bombed , murdered and humiliated people in their own countries , and yet there are
those who still call themselves christians who justify it . They need to repent ,because if they don't, it will continue until you do . God withdraws support from those who take His name in vain, as many violent people do, on both sides . Christians have done it often to justify their own greed , not only moslems .If christians are Superior ,let them show it.

For me, its our...Trust, in our representatives as if they are part of the congregation. Foreign policy that is.

You should try it, it's fun. conservophobia and righteousnessphobia.

LOL..

The day you let fear mongering turn you against an entire culture of people, you have given the terrorists all that they desire.

Amen! Been there done that. However, who is promoting fear? Our own media?

What if the culture in question is opposed to Jesus Christ?

There it is, Translation, Luke 9:54-56. Or, If one would lay down his life for me, that one is counted the greatest (My Friend) in heaven. Is that fight= Physical? Or Martyr= Faith? Forgive them for they know not what they do.

One in here talks of translation of the bible to fit any situation and that is truth when one switches from physical to Spirit and visa versa that. Spirit is gift , physical is how all come to the Word.

This is the thing Islamapologists don't quite get. Islam is the second largest faith on the planet. When there are billions of followers the minority number apologists invoke as reason not to be concerned about the terrorists among them is missed. And largely because the apologists either don't realize the number or just don't break it down into the math.
Hundreds of millions stand to be the terrorist faction.
And there are sleeper cells throughout the world as well. It would be naive to put it nicely to think they're not. There is an Imam in NYC that is a radical hate filled piece of work. He is seen regularly walking up and down the sidewalks screeching hate for America and infidels.
The Islamapologist would say he's nothing to be worried about. He's just a loon. But the concentration of mosques=muslim community centers, in NYC would indicate he can be influencing many a fellow loon in those circles. The so called ground zero mosque and its placement in as close a proximity to ground zero was not done because NYC needs another mosque. It was done because its sponsor who has ties with 'radicals' in the ME wanted to follow terrorist islam tradition! Install a mosque on or near the sight of conquest against their enemies. That's what muhammad's islam did during the muslim wars in past history and that's what they do to this day.

What we're seeing amazingly enough is blind ignorance regarding an enemy that is most determined. Billions! Of muslims populate the world! How on God's earth could anyone imagine a 'minority number' of 'radicals' is something to ignore or preach there is no reason for concern about?

How many did it take to install 9-11-2001 into the history books? That minority number slaughtered over 3000.
One psycho at work carved the head off a woman in Oklahoma in her work place! One! And before her workmates at that and he wasn't done! He'd have gone after more women if he'd been able!
How many terrorist muslims opened fire at Ft.Hood? A terrorist muslim that was being monitored by the FBI for over a year in his on-line activities as he visited 'radical' islam websites. In effect, the FBI saw him coming. The soldiers at Ft.Hood did not.
How many terrorist muslims does it take to slaughter innocents when Islamapologists wish to diminish the drive of terrorist muslims? One! Why? Because those they descend on have been fed the Kool-Aid that says, it isn't PC to be wary of islam or pay attention to the terrorists who invoke it when they get their hands bloody.

ONE! Is as minority of a number as you can get. But when they're armed to the teeth, even with just a knife in a group of unarmed infidels, ONE is enough!

Only if you want to realize it doesn't apply here. Again.

Let me help you.
That man on the side of the road that the Samaritan helped? Is in contemporary terms the victim that survived ISIS/Daesh! NOT Daesh!

The latest news is that two of the suicide bombers in Paris were Islamic immigrants who recently arrived by boat to Greece, and then crossed over the Balkan nations into Belgium and France.

http://news.yahoo.com/stranded-migrants-block-railway-call-hunger-strike-105453864.html

That has now resulted in the Balkan states closing their borders, and today many thousands of Muslim refugees are stranded at the border between Greece and Macedonia. They have now blocked Greece's railroads and have started a hunger strike.

I hope and pray that Macedonia doesn't give in. Then the Muslim refugees will have two choices. Either go to an Islamic nation that will have them or starve to death. I thank God that I live in Texas which has also closed its borders to the Islamic hordes.

Texas has enough to contend with in the Mexican drug cartels and the illegals washing across their borders. Good for them that they refused to accept refugees. I'm surprised their governor hasn't dispatched the militia to protect the border.

Jahrooshshalom I get ya , a lot of what you have posted is retaliatory to the actions of the U.S. We too have our atrocities ...Over a great sea/distance... Started by, funded by, weaponized by, trained by, given a mission by? Us. This Syria mess was just the straw that broke the back of a people to join radicalism. We are reaping what we sow...Overseas... over here now. All of those links you have provided I see none of them pre dating 2010? That's how long we have been in Syria messing in things not to be messed with. Your view is one sided that while we as Christians trusted our foreign policy reps as members of our congregation they were committing war crimes over there. I ask you... What drove them to do this to us, France etc? Somebody had to poke the monster right? Find out "why" these things are happening here ....Now. Its not in mainstream media or social platforms one finds the reason why, those are for fear factor. We trusted a policy maker like he is in our church congregation is why. All one is going to get now is scare tactics from mainstream media. We being the low man are reaping the terror of war crimes committed over there by us in name. Its just that simple, but one feels affront to a terrorist act not considering the affront as we kill 25 citizens to knock out one terrorist, or bomb a hospital killing doctors, nurses, women and children for a handful of terrorists from a drone plane. So , I get ya in the "real worry", for it is now real as the acts are coming in. But why? No, you did none of this overseas business but we are the ones that will pay for it in our Christian trust. So, I reiterate, engage in links provided in OP to find out why.

It is not that the West let people walk over them ,it is that they walk over others bombing their countries, and then Wonder why they react .
Which isn't the point at all. Even if these islamofascists were stirred up by something done to them, they still are a threat to all civilized people and the West needs to get serious about preventing it.

I just fear that 5 men killing 130 will have the power to start a war that will lead to 130,000 dead. Kind of like 9/11 with 19 men and 3500 dead started a war leaving 36,000 Americans dead or wounded, 500,000+ Middle Eastern people dead and the spawning ISIS.

In the last few weeks, ISIS murdered about 400 innocent people in Paris and taking down the Russian plane.

How many people do you think should be murdered, before something is done to greatly reduce their ability to continue?

The problem isn't in the desire to fight back against aggression, the problem is to do it without setting the world on fire. There's all this tough talk about how we need to hammer ISIS, but in so doing we run the real risk of hurting a LOT of innocent people which will only serve to ensure we face an unlimited number of "ISIS" type terror groups forever.

I don't know what the answer is, but the things we are doing right now aren't going to make things better. Our turning our backs on refugees is NOT a good answer. We only serve to make the world a worse place than it already seems to be becoming.

It depends what that something is. What we did in the past just made things worse.

What do you then think, will reduce the likely hood of these radicals being willing to die to kill other innocent people?
