Isaiah 40:22

Isaiah 40:22 - He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth and it's people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them like a tent to live in.

I thought it interesting that Isaiah knew the world was a circle, or round, long before the world figured that out almost 2000 years later. Just thought it was one of the thousands of examples of how the bible is the true inspired word of God.

Indeed! I find it somewhat felonious When I hear History teachers and the like claim that Christopher Columbus was the first individual to challenge the claim that the earth is flat. It's been printed and circulated well before hand! Just more proof that our modern public education system completely and utterly fails the youth of this great nation. How are those so easily deceived able to teach our children lies and fallacies in the name of the state? Just sayin, you get what you pay for. Our public education system has paid for a great deal of lies!

Of course the other notable point there is the statment of God stretching out the heavens. Scientists with thier discoveries of both the second law of thermal dynamics and dark matter that is expanding our universe will tell you the universe is indeed stretching and has always been. I find it to be a breath of fresh air knowing a nobel prize winner or any of the greatest scientists weren't the first to state this but a lone Jewish prophet inspired by the Lord Himself.
