My cat has an extraordinary habit of laying his paw on me and holding it there for minutes, eyes shut. It's very reminiscent of the Biblical practise of laying on of hands.

Yes all my pets have given their heart to Jesus.
They said the sinners prayer.
Well my two chihuahuas has not reached the age of accountability .
They are one year old which is 7 in doggie years.

Sorry I kinda made a joke but my animals do have a christian attitude.

My two cats run from the Word of God I start reading my bible out loud. They look at me with big eyes. I point at them and say, "Teddy you are forgiven for your sins." I practice my messages with my cats since I want to be a pastor I don't know if they like what I preach since they jump off the bed and stratch the door to go outside. They make it seem like I am torturing them Then when I am in the mood to sing, I sing in the spirit. I sing out loud and with all my heart. My cats, think I am the worse singer or they do not want to hear me sing about God's grace I sing and then I reach over to pet my cat. She looks at me like as if she is annoyed by my voice. She hits my hand and I tell her, "I am not singing for your pleasure but God's." It is funny and it seems like cats have their own personalities. One day, my cats will listen to the Word of God. Maybe if I add a illustration using food they will listen to me It cannot fail. They love to eat. I will hold up a twinkie and it can represent someone in the bible

Cats indeed don't necessarily do as you tell them to - doesn't that teach us how not to be under law? ;D

Or doesn't "the man's best friend" teach us how faithful we should be to God?



Regarding the subject in a more serious sense, I find Job 12:7-9 very interesting:

7. But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8. Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?

Great idea for a thread! I think one of my Cavaliers is a Methodist; she always tries to go into the Methodist church when we're on our walks. It's interesting!

Hehe! That's cute. My Radar went with me to vote in the primaries. It was fun. A greeter from each party offered to hold her for me while I went in, but in the end Radar came along inside while I voted. (She's conservative like I am, but alas, she had to count on me since she can't vote!)
