God never directed us know to know Masturbaition is a sin. Without biblical evidence no on can say for a fact if it is. All the arguements for it being a sin are pure speculation and not based on known facts.

Based on the principles of God's Word plus His commandments, its a safe bet that masturbation is a sinful behaviour.

also one must consider the fact that if something comes first in our lives and it is not God, it is an idol. God also desires us only to have Him as our God. He does not say "seek self-gratification and all your desires will be fulfilled." He says seek first the kingdom of God, and He will give us what we desire.

If we had just one nature, that of Christ we would not be tempted by anything or any situation.

Your problems isn't who you are, but who you THINK you are.

A person can't have two natures. It doesn't make any sense, it's impossible. It's like saying a dog has the nature of a dog AND the nature of a cat. It's completely irrational, and completely unbiblical.

You are born again. Which part of you is born again? It's not your mind, and it's not your flesh. So it must be your spirit. The bible calls you a new creation.

The old man who is a slave to sin has died, that's true, but where does it say you have lost your old nature and it is no longer a part of you?

Nothing is impossible with God. Paul directly addresses this conflict in Romans.

Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, Rom 7:23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

Why don't you look into the teachings on this, before you dismiss it out of hand?

It's all of you that's born again, a new mind, a new heart with new desires and new nature that wishes to do good, but you still retain the old Adamic nature in your flesh. When you are raised on the last day, that's when your old Adamic nature will truly no longer be a part of you. The second birth does not erase the defects obtained in the first and that includes the defective Adamic nature.

I haven't read every post on this page, but I just wanted to make a comment --

I think we can all make excuses and arguments for things we think we can do & why it's not sin. But we all need to keep in mind that in whatever we want to say is right or good, we'll all stand before God in front of His throne with the books opened.

We can win arguments down here with other people, but we'll be giving a true account to a Holy God.
I'm not so much talking about this subject, but just in general in other things.

Just something to keep in mind & be honest with ourselves & God about what we decide is ok.

Very true. Honesty with God and oneself is of immeasurable importance when determining one's beliefs. Thus, if one truly believes in one's heart that, for example, masturbation is or isn't wrong, then one must not allow others to shame or argue one into keeping silent or lying about that belief.

Only one can convict you of sin and that's God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Satan has no intention of convicting you of your sin and telling you it's wrong. He loves it when we sin against God, because he knows that it is sin that separates us from God and that's his real goal.

His lie is that it is not a sin.

I'd agree with this if you were saying give all your sins over to God, but I don't think that's what you're advocating here.
