Is this prayer in a nutshell?
Take a coin and ask it that you need heads then flip, if the coin lands on heads praise the coin for giving you heads. But if the coin falls on tails then praise the coin for knowing you needed tails all along, then pick another side and flip the coin again.

No, this isn't prayer. Coins don't come into it. Neither does chance.

No. Prayer is simply talking to God. While talking to God you just say whatever is on your heart. Be it thankful praise or concerns. When you ask for something when you pray, the response will either be a yes, no, or not yet. You know that God has your best interests in mind. So even when the answer is no, you understand that there is a good reason for it. If you oversimplify prayer and make it all about your wants and needs, then ya, it could be looked at as you said. However, prayer is not about that.

But is what your saying even biblical, of course it is!

What you are saying is very interesting, Chris. I feel as if you are saying it to be nasty and stir the pot, but I happen to agree with you in this sense: As a Christian I certainly have my requests. When God gives me what I want, I am thankful. When God doesn't, it's not as if I forget that I had chosen "heads" and gotten tails. What I acknowledge is that God knows every single thing about my life, from before its beginning to after its last breath, and I have faith that when He says "no", or "not yet"..... it is ULTIMATELY meant for my best. And that doesn't mean that I like it. It just means that since I love God, I never really feel that I have gotten the wrong side of the coin.

You agree in part but miss the whole point completely. It does not matter which side of the coin christians get, because they load god's will on both sides. This way they never loose, making it impossible for themselves to disprove god's will in their lives.

Puh-leeze! That video was as classic a Strawman argument as you could get! There may be some Christians who engage in circular argument in defense of their faith - just as there are atheists who do the very same thing - but this by no means indicates that all Christians employ the same circular logic in defense of their faith.
