  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is This Possible?

Thanks!

Hi @April_Rose, hopefully this will help a bit. If it does not, just let me know and I'll try a different approach. Thanks :)
Hello @April_Rose, unfortunately, I don't believe that's possible on this side of the grave. That's why the Lord prayed that the Father would sanctify us, and why we are commanded to lay aside our old self/old nature, renew our minds, and choose to put on our new self/new nature, day by day/moment by moment (to help get us closer and closer to such lofty desires/closer and closer to Him) .. e.g. John 17:17; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:22-24.
Once God justifies/saves us, He begins to sanctify us (IOW, He begins to make us more and more Christlike). I believe that more than anything else, the changes that our sanctification is making in us can best be seen in our 1. growing trust in and dependence upon God, and 2. in our growing love for God and for others.

So, if we FULLY trusted God (100%), and we ALWAYS chose to love God with ALL of our heart, with ALL of our soul, and with ALL of our mind, and with ALL of our strength, and we always (and truly) loved our neighbors as ourselves, then we would already be sanctified (but none of us are yet).

God bless you!
