• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is this Moral?

I don't have a problem Gambling, however my 20 year old son is using a cheating robot to win at online poker, he says its perfectly fine and talks in circles, any opinions on what I should do?

The cheating robot he got at this address (no www) smartpoker.cjb.net

I checked it out, emailed them asking them if they thought it was right. Recieved no response.
Just make sure he isnt useing your credit card. If its for real money, when he gets caught, its going to fall on you. Its fraud and theft. Also, he should learn how to play.

I see ]Fa||eN[ has already got it, but I wanted to possibly show that you already had the answer in your post. :)

Well, you know what they say. If your not cheatin, your not tryin. But seriously, of course it's wrong. I feel certain that you have expressed your views on both gambling and cheating. Probobly to deaf ears. Experience is the best teacher. It'll come back to bite him.

This OP sounds more like it's advertising this cheat program under the semblance of a concerned parent. I could be wrong. Maybe I'm just paranoid because it's his first post and there's a web address.

I got the same impression when I first read it. Perhaps tomorrow, it will only be a memory.

um, the program isn't actually cheating. It doesn't give you any information you wouldn't already have or be able to figure out. Did anyone actually read the description of the program? It gives you the odds of winning, suggests some betting strategies, and that's it. It doesn't give you other peoples' hands, change your cards, or even guarantee that you'll play better than anyone else in the hand. If the players you are playing against are playing by the book as well, you don't have any advantage over them at all.

Maybe the case, I was thrown by the age displayed as 25 with a 20 year old son. Something not quite right there.

Then it's no more immoral than honest gambling. Of course, that's another issue.

I wasn't that interested in following through by visiting a site based on gambling - especially when posted by posters that can't post links.
Kind of a preventative personal practice. :)

Possible (adoption, married to older woman, etc.), but not probable (gut tells me that there is a bluff involved).

Or would you prefer the "I would bet on it." :)

To everyone else, I strongly recommend that you run your spyware software after visiting the site in the opening post. Last night, I had 0 items of spyware; immediately following my visit to that site, I had 30 items - I'm not sure if it is related, but I am very suspicious.
